How do I go about making a BD pet? (noob alert)

Hi :) I recently adopted a pet from the pound named Yayt and she just so happened to have a lot of hit points. (or at least a lot more than I've ever had lol)

Hit Points: 97 / 97
Strength: GREAT (23)
Defence: very heavy
Movement: GREAT (34)

I want to make a BD pet to trade for an UC, but I'm a noob at BD stuff. How should I go about training Yayt to become a BD pet? or are her stats too uneven???

Thanks

It looks like Yayt's level is only 1 at the moment, so if you do decide you'd like to train her some more the first step would be to raise her level. When you're training manually (with codestones or dubloons, as opposed to using faerie quest cookies or the lab ray) you can only train a stat to twice that of your level (with the exception of HP/endurance), so in order to raise her other stats you would have to raise her level first.

You can find more information on that here. c: I hope that helps!

Welcome to the battle forum, nice avatar. :)

I'm going to direct you to our articles section at the battlepedia.

http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/index/

If you're planning on battling then I would recommend, the beginner articles, through Melinda's journey in Section 1.

In the 2nd section, I'd recommend Basic Weapon Sets (to give you an idea what's out there equipment-wise and rough pricing ideas)

http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/basic-weapon-sets/

Also in the 2nd section, I'd recommend looking over the boost-chart.

http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/battle-strength-defense-boosts/

That chart will show you what number you have to get either Strength or Defense (or both if you train a balanced pet) to see the benefit in the battledome.

When you gain some levels, I'd then recommend the Faerie Abilities, also in the 2nd section.

You can skip section 3 for now. And look at Section 4, there we have articles on ALL the ways to train various stats.

I hope you find these articles helpful! Good luck with your training!
