Lamppost
I'm interested in delving into the realm of custom graphics. I'm hoping to make my own user lookup. Where do you find high quality Neopets images? I've tried taking some images off the site, but when I increase the size, it looks very pixelated. Any advice? The Bandit
Your best bet for neopets images is drsloth.com - it's a subsidiary of jellyneo. However, most neopets images aren't remotely high-quality, sadly... Duskitty and Lamppost
Xepha
You can use Firefox's add-on Firebug to get swf urls of any wearable items. Example: http://impress.openneo.net/swfs/outfit/items/000/000/146/146719_1f627cedee.swf You take a screenshot and open it in a graphic software to crop it the way you want. It's possible to get all the chunks of a pet the same way, then you place them on layers to assemble it. Other sources of images: Neopets backgrounds - Caption competition images - TCG - Press Kit You can also use battledome challengers for smaller graphics, e.g. Feel free to blend images (lots of tutorial online), but never enlarge a file that isn't a vector! It's gonna turn pixelated, as you already experimented :P Also, I like to keep my lookup 990px wide so it looks fine on older computer with smaller resolution.
