How does post count work?

I've been making comments/posts today but when I press post it doesn't automatically post as it used to, it just says saving post, but when I refresh the page my post is there. However, my post count hasn't increased. Am I doing something wrong?

What forums are you posting in? In certain areas (Games, in particular) your posts don't count towards your total.

Neopets Help and Neopets News; I thought they counted toward my count before

 

Edit: Just happened here too, though I don't know if this forum increases count

The forum is currently being moved to a new server. We didn't anticipate any issues but some things do arise.
