Question about NeoAvatars?

This annoys me quite a few times already, so I think I should share it here. When I checked my avatar counter in neoavatar then it says I have 264 avvies. But in my profile on neoboard it says I have 263 avvies ?!

The second thing is not really that annoys, but do you guys have anyway to make the pinata and candy avvie works with the one-click import function?

___________

Edit: I just use the one-click import function to make it to normal, but I'm sure that it will be like that again when I add other avvies.

Your neoav counter is now saying 263 just like your profile. Maybe you lost the Count Von Roo or Emo Usuki avs? I used to do that all the time with the Emo Usuki av when I went to my shop front by mistake.

Not sure what you mean about the pinata and candy avs. I've never had any trouble using the one-click import, and now when I get new avs I just add them in individually.

There is also the Sloth avatar that is gained and lost through Random Events. It's a pretty small event and shows up at the top of pages. I've lost it before and not realized it, simply because I was refreshing pages too much.

Our one-click import has trouble with 'Pinatas & Candy' because of the & symbol in the name. If anyone has ever had to copy text with different characters between programs before, you sometimes notice that, in the transfer, sometimes symbols or punctuation gets replaced/lost (most notably, quotation marks getting changed to question marks). The script that pulls the info from the neo page and imports it to your avatar profile has trouble with the '&' in the name, causing it not to import properly so it needs to be added manually. These kind of scripting limitations also contribute to the notorious lack of apostrophes in Neopets items. Items that should have them, like "Illusens Cream cookie" (should be Illusen's) don't because the punctuation can get messed up in data retrieval.

Have you visited your pet's lookup? It shouldn't make a difference if it's yours or someone else's pet but in case it does, here's the link off the TDN Avatars page;

I think I know what the problem might be. When I tried to click the button 'add avatar to list' for a new avvie (the awakened), it didn't add, but I guess that it still counts as a new avvie. When I refresh a bit later, I have to click it again so it counts as 2 ?!

And now I'm stuck with one more avatar in the counter bar again :shiftyeyes_anim:

EDIT

Ok, so I tried uncheck avatar, then add it again a few times and it finally becomes normal! :mellow:

EDIT

Glitch again! What the ...?

I've had issues with the Pinatas and Candy avatar being imported. I think the ~ sign doesn't compute with the import, so it doesn't recognize it as an avatar. I just click it back after the import.

That is a known issue. As Emily said above:

It would be nice if different programs didn't have hiccups like that, but that's just how things go.
