Battleground Opens Up With Boons At Stake!

This is odd. As a former member of the Sway I really hope the other teams get avatars and site themes too instead of just boons. I will be fighting on and off a bit, but if I'm just fighting for boons, what's the use? They're pretty overrated.

Eh, I'm only really fighting in the hopes that I can get the stock market boon again. I'm not going to complain too much though, since I'm making a killing off hoarding and selling Essences of Everlasting Apples.

I'm kind of glad the timer was reset to a shorter time. I'm happy to participate and all, but this sort of concentrated effort is way too tedious for 10 days. 3-4 days is much more reasonable.

I do not understand why Neopets did this whole skirmish thing. The war is over. Maybe they wanted to test the new Battledome some more?

From what I can tell, it's going to be a regular/semi-regular site feature from now on - just something for BDers to do.

That makes sense. I was pretty unimpressed, but I wouldn't mind participating in something like this every few weeks if I feel like doing some extra battling.

 

I'm doing what I would normally do, except I'm replacing one of the easier challengers for S750, who I'd normally fight daily.

Looks like all the stealers are broken. Shady Prowler keeps stealing items but doesn't get it.

Don't think it is all stealers; every now and then I have an item missing and a sticky hand in my inventory instead when fighting the faction opponents.

CP, I know my heavy robes of thievery have been broken for a while -- I thoroughly tested it days before the truce ended, and it neither gave me an item nor removed an item from my opponent (he used all 8 weapons after I allegedly "stole"). Right now it's just wasting a slot.

 

On the other hand, some stealers seem to be working for the opponents, like LAkeena said (I've also found a sticky hand in my inventory, at any rate...). A rainbow sticky hand appeared in my inventory against Kanrick just now, but the only thing missing is my RFFR, which just froze him and thus should have gone missing. So that, at least, seems broken, too.

I agree! I'm not entirely sure what the point is, but if it's just boons, they're completely anti-climactic. In the meantime, this is the most under-motivated I've ever been for a neopets event. pft

The only reason that I'll do this is to hopefully have another shot at a Thieves Guild avatar... the boons are not that interesting, really (though I like the Stock Market one).

 

Same. This is getting so tedious, it's ridiculous. I'm not a BD'er and I can't imagine this being fun even for most of them. I really... REALLY want a Thieves Guild avatar, though, so I'm putting minimal effort in until it's over. I don't want to be disappointed (again) and miss it if they release one I don't get.
