Invisible Pet Color

I was going to post this in the help section, but I thought it'd be more of a chat topic, so here goes!

 

I used the ray today and had my color changed to invisible :ohno:

So now I can't see my pet.. Has anyone had this happen before? Has anyone actually done it on purpose (if there is an invisible paintbrush/potion)?

What are people's thoughts on this color? Any use for it?

I personally don't see much of the point of having your pet invisible.. You can't see them and I don't dress them up or anything, but I'd assume it would be weird having wearables just floating there..

 

If anyone has any insight on this or just wants to comment on the color or what happened I'd appreciate it!

There is an invisible paint brush, but I don't think it's a very popular colour. But if you're into customization, you can get some pretty funky results. I've seen some great ones, but unfortunately I can't remember where.

My pet got zapped invisible by the lab ray a few days ago too! Gotta say, I was kinda excited.

That's pretty awesome. I remember some really creative customization with the invisible color, it was actually discussed on TDN. I don't remember what was the name of the pet though.

I once got a random event where my pet turned invisible. Was cool at first but then got bored of not being able to see my pet haha. :P

I have a Grarrl and I don't like them. I chose it because I thought, I didn't want to see it while seeking a BGC lend. Which I am still doing *cough cough* and so for me, it was so I didn't have to look at the Grarrl. :happydance:

I think you could have a lot of fun customizing with an invisible pet. I personally would love to see invisible hissi become an option because how cool would it be to see one wearing the halloween hissi skeleton clothing? That would look pretty awesome with the right kind of spooky customization.

I think the colour is quite a ridiculous idea as a whole but it's also super great for people with an imagination and a good eye for humorous or witty customisations.

I don't know if the clothes always show up! hrtbrk suggests it does, but when I tried on DTI, some of the combinations I tried didn't do anything. It might have been DTI though since it doesn't always work correctly for the overlays.

 

I wonder why not all the Invisible colors have been released... although I understand it would piss off a lot of people if they did. Unless I am wrong, Blumaroo got the invislble on their special day (with the awesome Stealthy color though)... that wasn't cool. :P

When I first started Neopets and they came out with the invisible paint brush I though it was like the sketch one you could still see the pet. Boy was I wrong! I bought a cheap paint brush just so I could see my pet again. I definitely do not like that one at all. Personally I think its a silly PB.

Thought I don't think I'd ever opt for it myself, I love seeing what other people do with it in terms of both customisation and storylines. I remember when we were discussing it on TDN and someone said something about an Invisible Draik and a curse story <3 I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff

Well it seems if there's any use for the color it's for customizing. Sadly I don't do any customizations, so I suppose it's not any help for me. I'm just zapping the pet anyways, so hopefully I get a better color soon..

My main pet is invisible, and I rather like it, though I haven't done anything particularly special with customizations. I've found that a lot of customization items can't be put on him at all, so I generally just leave a nice, apparently empty background, and occasionally entertain amusing thoughts about it. ("Somewhere in this snowy forest, there is...a fish. And he's watching you.")
