In case you're wondering, 'second hand music' is what I call your neighbors playing their music loud enough that you can hear it through a concrete wall >.> If I wanted to listen to Johnny Cash I would play it myself thank you.

Ugh, that's so frustrating. The worst is when you can just hear the bass. I had a neighbour like that once. It seemed like her apartment was the regular party place for her friends. I was so happy when she moved.

I'll be happy when we move -_- Then I'll also happily call someone about their poor cat who looks like he hasn't been groomed ever and has flees (I've given him a pet or two when he wanders into our yard)

Man. I feel your pain. My neighbours tend to favour dubstep at all hours of the day and night and I share a bedroom wall with them. Though the ones this year are much better than the neighbours we had last year >.< Check out the by-law guidelines for your town/county or recommendations from your city's landlord/tenant committee (if you rent). There are usually laws about this kind of stuff, especially if it happens at certain times of day.

Ugh, I feel your pain. We lived in a place right next to bars and they would have live bands right outside our windows nearly every night... all night. We didn't get any good sleep until we could finally move out. ;_; Now our current neighbors are the party people around here so it's pretty usual to hear their music every weekend during the summer, but after living next to those bars it doesn't even bother me anymore (plus we're out in the country so we're not too close to them). I sleep in ear plugs to block out the majority of the noise.

Though, I must admit, I could never live in an apartment complex or city because I play my music loud. :p

Oh man do I understand your pain. We live in a historic building that's been turned into lofts which means they charge us a boatload to live in small spaces with paper thin walls. And of course our bedroom wall is a shared wall with the livingroom of the people next door so while we're responsible adults trying to juggle university, part time jobs, and still get enough sleep, our neighbors feel it's all right to have people over drinking until the early morning any night of the week. I can feel a tiny bit of understanding when it's a weekend night, but I call the cops when you keep me up until 3am on a Wednesday. I feel like people should have better things to do mid-week, you know?
