essiw
Hi all, this is one thing I cannot seem to find on either the daily neopets or somewhere else (mainly on the fact that if I search for multiple neopets I always get the questions about accounts, which I do not want). What are the advantages of multiple pets? I know you can let them fish both, but are there more? I now have two and I wonder why I should even have more. Thanks! livvy
I think it's mostly just personal preference. I can't think of any major advantages in having multiple pets except that you can play around with them more. You can have a battle pet and a dress-up pet and a reading pet or something. I believe it also allows for several simultaneous games of NQ and NQII, but that's actually more a disadvantage if you forget which pet you've advanced on... Sannah
Um. I'm sure there are a few perks. Underwater Fishing, of course. You get an additional food item for each pet with monthly freebies. You can attach different Petpets to increase your chances of winning the PPL. But these are very very small benefits indeed.
The Bandit
Aprt from what Livvy and Sannah said, there aren't really many advantages, except for having four pets to dress up etc., rather than one or two. In fact it could be seen as a disadvantage, if you feel you have to train four pets rather than one etc. which is obviously more expensive. Certainly I would recommend concentrating on one pet for one thing, e.g. the Battledome for instance.
essiw
Thanks for answering :) I cannot do the monthly freebies yet (my account is only 2-3 weeks old) but I will try that once it is possible. But what is the PPL? I also didn't do NQ and NQ11 yet, but that sounds like a disadvantage indeed :P. @elbandito, why should I specialise my pets for one thing only? seems more logical to me to train my main pet in every way. crazy_cat_luv_bb
PPL is Petpet Protection League. If you have a petpet attached to one of your pet for so long, you may probably get a trophy and money from that. You can search on TDN page to understand more about it. And one more reason is something I just did about some days ago is that attached avvie petpet to my pet and waited to get the avvies. :D
essiw
Thank you for your answer :) So to conclude this, there are only small answers and for now I see no reason to have more then 2 pets :) The Bandit

Yes, by all means concentrate on your main pet and do everything with that pet - I think that makes the most sense. All I meant was, don't try to train up all your pets! essiw
ok :) No worries I didn't see it like that. It might be because I am not english that I wrote it in a strange way ;) I know that I should not train all my pets, I just give them the leftovers :)
Lydia Trebond
I like having multiple pets so my expensively painted pets (vs. my zapped pet) are not the active ones and thus will not be hit by color changing REs. I keep my temporary pets (buzz/grarrl when I was getting the FFQ avatar and going for the BGC avatar) active because I don't want to shell out a few million to REpaint pets! Naamah D.
I like having multiple pets because there are so many wonderful pets out there. I like having lots of cuties to play with!
