Animation Support in the TDN forums?

Hi, just wondering why my avatar doesn't animate for me unless I'm looking at my profile page. (Not sure if others can see the animation then or not)

 

Is it set up this way on purpose, or is it a glitch? All you can see of my avatrar in the forums, or rather, what I see when I post, is the first frame.

I have other animated avatars I've made that I might like to use sometime. So this is an important query.

If I recall correctly, avatars are only static right now.

I'm not sure if this was a setting checked off when we updated or if it's that way by default.

Ah ok. Thanks snwflk! I hope someday animated gifs will be allowed/enabled. They can be lots of fun. ;) Of course there'd probably have to be a size limit. Maybe 50kb or so? ;)
