poptart123
I couldn't think where else to ask this but here it goes... For the rubbish avatar I know you have to discard A LOT of items, in most cases either ~1000 or ~5000. Here is my question, does doing the Moltara Worm Quest and then discarding all of your worms and empty lantern count towards this? Thanks in advance :)
~Xandria
I'm not entirely sure... (I don't have the avi yet) but I don't see why it wouldn't! :P That's actually a great idea. :)
poptart123
Right?! I have yet to gather all of the worms since I get impatient with refreshing so I just end up discarding and starting over. Then it hit me today "wait a minute... am I actually helping myself by doing this?!" I might start making it into a daily thing.
Angeló
as long as u use Quick Stock , all the items u discard count towards your avvie
NeuroticRequiem
I have also wondered about this question. Does everything have to be discarded at once (Say the 1000-5000 items) Or will it build up over time?
karmacow
I've read about people getting it after having had discarded a bit at a time, not all at once. That's what I'm currently doing. It'll be interesting if that will get me the avatar, or if I'm doing it too slowly.
Rebecca~
I don't see why those wouldn't count! Any and all items seem to be fair game. And yes, you can discard items over time and it works. So I hope you get it soon! :)
Wildbreeze
The sad thing is, I didn't realize until recently that you had to use quick stock for it to count. So I've discarded lots in the past that just doesn't count. :(
poptart123
Oh nos! So sorry to hear (er... read?) that. I have personally only ever used quick stock because my patience level is pretty much non existant. I can't stand clicking on items one at a time. And the one time I did (this was 10 years ago) I managed to feed my pet something rare that I wanted to sell. How many things do you think you have discarded that didn't count out of curiosity? Not sure, but since I've played for around 3 years... Probably a lot. I actually just discovered quick stock. I had no idea there was a way to not waste all that time! :D I remember getting super annoyed that it refreshes after every discard... Ah well, since I'm collecting for packrat, I should have tons of stuff to discard in a while.

So I've discarded lots in the past that just doesn't count. :( I don't think it HAS to be by quickstock- it's just the way that most people do it! I did a couple hundred items by hand, and I think they counted. I think it has to be done in a certain period of time though- probably a couple months, so don't fret about the thousands of items you've probably discarded over the years. :D
poptart123
Oh no, it has to be in certain period of time? Darn, it's gonna take me forever to get this thing haha Wildbreeze

Lamppost
I don't know if there is a specific time period, but regardless, I think TNT started keeping track when the avatar was created. People didn't get it retroactively. So, in that case, your 3 years of discarding wouldn't count anyway, but your last few months would. It seems like a lot of data to store for a lot of users if it's discarded ever, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it has to be in a certain time period.
