fullonparanoid
Hey gang! :) Hopefully y'all will have some tips for me. Here is the situation: I am a Sand Collector (see my Gallery). I have worked diligently on it long enough that the items I have left to procure are all rather pricey. When it comes to cost...the TCG cards, especially, eat my soul. I found a very kind Neopian who is semi-liquidating his collection...and he has given me a great deal on a bulk buy of TCG cards from my wishlist. He has offered to hold them for me until I raise the nps, but, I don't want to make him wait until we have a new President. ;) So, I have to save about 10 Million np as quickly as possible. I play Keyquest (and will now be trying for 10 games a day), I run Habi (and will now be running it longer), I have been gathering my 15 items daily from the new Battledome, and I scan shops for UBs in order to resell them for profit. I am not very good at games, so, my first question would be: What games are easy/quick that I could play daily for nps are recommended? My next question is: Do y'all have an opinion on Neopians who ask for donations in their Shops/Galleries? Is it gauche? Does it even work? Lastly: Are there any other ways y'all know of/recommend to earn/save nps quickly? Any and all help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Cheers! :P
karmacow
Sounds like you're working pretty hard on this - I don't know what else you could be doing. While it varies a lot what games people are good at, I recommend kass basher and snowmuncher as good -and pretty quick- money makers for flash games. If these games are your thing. I have no idea if donation requests in shops/galleries work, but to me, that's totally acceptable. I don't consider it poor form in the slightest. Depending on how you ask :P fullonparanoid
The Bandit
Run Habitarium all the time if you can - should be around 150k a day. In addition, Sunnyneo has a great list of top ratio games here: http://www.sunnyneo....games/topratio/ As long as you explain why you're asking and ask politely - asking for donations has to be worth a try... Hope that helps - good luck :) fullonparanoid
fullonparanoid
Thanks for the tips! Ever since Neopets began the 'nightly maintenance' with Habitarium...I hesitate to leave it running full time. I have this fear of falling asleep with full gem count and them disconnecting me. I have done the hard reset too many times! Btw, I think that 'nightly maintenance' for Habitarium stinks. It makes it much harder to run Habi full-tilt safely. I am in the process of rummaging through my SDB for items to sell/trade. Wish me luck! :)
Rebecca~
I wouldn't worry too much about the nightly maintenance causing lockouts- I am able to collect my gems in the morning without refreshing. As long as you don't try to get into your Habi WHILE it's down, there shouldn't be a problem. :) Best of luck! You really do seem to be working hard. :D As for games... Fashion Fever, Kass Basher, and all the sponser games are your best bet, I think! :) They all tend to be really easy :) fullonparanoid

fullonparanoid
Get into the resell/sniping business. That is all luck and for the fastest snipers at the auction house. I started like 4 days ago and got 2 snipes. 3.2 million profits! I only have very limited experience with the auction house. How can you snipe an item when it does not tell you how much time is left? <30 mins is a long time to click. :P Any tips would be appreciated, it is exactly the type of thing I am willing to try because I do have enough nps to invest in items to sell for profit. Cheers! :)
Zombiiesque
I don't know if you're any good at Zurroball, but I like that game and it's not got a bad ratio this month. Big Time Rush is a pretty good sponsor game. I also like Cooty Wars, but with games it's really going to depend on what you're good at - I'm also good at Imperial Exam, I use the easiest level and clear all stages to make 1k per game. I don't know a lot about stocks, sniping/auctions, or food club, so I'm no help but I have seen a lot of discussion here about those so it might be worth checking into? I basically do the same things you're already doing and generally I deposit upwards of 100k a day. Of course I'm training, so that uses a bit of my money that ordinarily I'd be depositing. As Rebecca said with Habi, if you leave it on to run overnight, just make sure you don't refresh when you get up - collect all your purple gems first! I go to bed around 2 or 3AM (I think we're in the same time zone!), so for me it's not really worth it to leave mine running, but if I went to bed a lot earlier, I totally would do that. Wishing you good luck! fullonparanoid
fullonparanoid
It is kinda funny...I have been playing off and on for years. Long enough that I have forgotten lots of things...like, how on earth I ever got 61 in Zurroball when now I can barely break 10! Same with Kass Basher....I KNOW I used to have the good bat (my high score proves it)....but, somehow I only have the loaf of bread again (and can't seem to advance beyond it). I don't know if it is old age catching up with me....if my reflexes have really deteriorated that much in so few years. Or if I at one time knew a trick to playing that I no longer recall. It is kinda weird. Thank you all again for your tips. I actually went ahead and added a blurb/thing on both my shop and my Gallery about donations. It will be interesting to see how that goes...I feel a bit silly doing it, but, I am in a time crunch. I got another good tip from a Guild friend...to hang on to my extra codestones/neggs/map pieces until mid/late month. Both because there might be a winter promo (in which cases prices on those items tend to rise) and because of the greater number of players online due to school breaks. So, that will be a boost when I put them up in my shop. Keep your fingers crossed for me...I have quite the task ahead me! :P Rebecca~
Welcome Back Apathy
I compiled a spreadsheet of games and timed how long each one took. I *was* updating it every month when the games changed, so I would just change the np ratio, and it would recalculate how long it took. Then it measures how many np per second you get--so even though you get only 300 np from a game in Fashion Fever, it's the fastest np per second game. I hadn't updated it lately, so thanks for the motivation. I'll have the results in a few minutes. As for donations in shops...a lot of people do it, and it's fine. The trouble is, people have to come to your shop to see that ad up. So you better market well :-)
jumpingbeans
I'm just curious, how many NP do you currently have? And basically all the tips that the others gave. The Stock Market, my only area of expertise, is good for long-term investment, but you obviously need as quick as possible, so don't use that. Welcome Back Apathy
Mmkay, here's the current list of good earners. Note that you might not GET 1,000 np on each of these; it's just that if you earned that np steadily for such and such amount of time time, you would get 1,000 np. Less than 30 seconds to get 1,000 np Fashion Fever Kass Basher Catch the Petpet Big Time Rush Crowd Patrol 30 sec - 1 minute for 1,000 np Zurroball Tunnel Tumble Darigan Dodgeball Attack of the Marblemen Snowbeast Snackrifice 1 - 2 minutes for 1,000 np Cloud Raiders 200m Peanut Dash Wrath of the Snowager Mynci Beach Volleyball Neverending Boss Battle Faerie Bubbles (FIRST LEVEL only--probably not worth it, actually) Bouncy Supreme Ready to Roll Tubular Kiko Racing Evil Fuzzles Ednas Shadow (1st 4 levels) Maths Nightmare Rink Runner
littelblossomz
I see that you are quite an old neopian, so the FOOD CLUB should be a great way for you to make some quick cash (average 40k a day?), the problem is it is a little difficult to learn. However there are many guides detailing the process, and you can also choose to follow another user's bets if you are just starting off/only in for the quick NP and not the fun. The basics: http://www.thedailyn.../foodclubguide/ Kinda teaches you how to bet: http://www.neopets.com/~Jawsnapper0991 Bets to follow: http://www.neopets.com/~jamila233 There are links to other betters at the top of the page. A quick check seems to show that Hugo's bets /~myfoodclubbets has the highest (recorded) percent profit (72.1%). His page even has a nice explanation (scroll down) which may help you make your own bets with reference to the odds page (below) Real Odds: http://foodclub.daqtools.info/ Edit/Note: Food club is a game where you BET large sums of neopoints, which means you will LOSE on some days. But if it is done right you will win in the long run (I keep track of my monthly profits, and they have never been negative... BTW - they usually average around 1mil a month, which is not bad for 10mins of thinking per day on days when I remember to play). Very important: you should only play if you have money to spare (which you do, so it's all good). As an old neopian you can also take advantage of the Almost Abandoned Attic! If you have quick reflexes and a good knowledge of current market prices you'll be able to make a real killing! But from my experience, items worth 20-50k profit can be still bought a full ten seconds after the restock so you can (probably) even make a small profit by searching things up on shop wiz REALLY quick before buying (though after a while you will just kinda know which items are profitable) AAA Guide: http://www.thedailyn...bandoned-attic/ AAA Timer (can be set to beep just before potential restocks): Can be found on SunnyNeo (unfortunately TDN doesn't have one). http://www.sunnyneo.com/attictimer/ As Finn mentioned, restocking is a great way to earn money quickly but again you will need to be quick. Also, while the time left for an auction cannot go lower than <30min, the auctions are ordered in such a way that the ones which will expire earlier are near the front (on the main auction pages, not on auction genie search), so if you loitter on the first few pages you will know when an auction is about to end. Ex: the top 3 auctions generally will generally end within 10 seconds, and as some auctions end the other auctions scroll up the screen. But, please be aware that many other neopians are also competing against you for those quick profits! So chances are you will miss many auctions. Edit/Note: Not recommended for people with slow computers. You can chose to restock in a shop too if you prefer, it also takes some practice + fast reflexes/internet though. Guide: http://www.thedailyn...les/restocking/ Practice here: http://www.thedailyn...stock-practice/ I suggest you start at slower shops like pharmacy/books first. If you are up for it you can try spooky foods too (you only need to memorize a couple of item names because there aren't that many good items, but they disappear quickly!) If you're computer is slow but you still want to restock you can try trading post reselling. This basically consists of going on the trades board (on neopets) and buying items that restockers just got for cheaper than market prices (restockers are willing to sell low because they got the item from the main shops for much lower prices). However I do not suggest this method if you are not willing to put a lot of work into research because it takes some time to figure out which items will sell, how quickly they sell, and how much they sell for. If you don't buy items at appropriate prices you may end up having to sell for lower than you paid for. And if you buy a hard-to-sell (HTS) item it might sit in your trades for months (or even years). If you really want to try this you should start by only buying easy-to-sell items like paint brushes and morphing potions (stick to cheap/basic colours if possible). Edit/Note: Send me a PM if you plan on trying this method, and/or get a second person's opinion+tips since I'm not too too experienced with this. Edit/Note2: You should begin by only buying cheap-ish items (definitely under 1mil, maybe under 500k/750k) this way even if you mess up your losses are minimal. I wish you the best of luck on your goal! :) Edit: Hmm... I didn't realize how long this post was until I posted it, oh well :P Nimphal and Rebecca~

If it makes you feel any better, I find the first two levels of kass basher to be a lot harder than the third with the good bat. Every time I reformat my computer or lose my cookies or whatever and need to "earn" the good bat again, it takes a lot longer than it would normally take to take a 1000np swing with the good bat. I got some morphing potions for 1.3 mil for 700k and quicksold (auction it) for 800k because of inflation. Easy 100k for like 10 mins. fullonparanoid
I'm just curious, how many NP do you currently have? I currently have 5,562,631 np....I need 14 million total. I started the day with just shy of 4 million on hand and a goal of earning/saving an additional 10 million (most of today's earnings came from a card I sold on TP). I feel good about my start...but, I know I have a long slog ahead of me. This is the biggest 'goal' I've ever set for myself on Neopets. I probably have bitten off more than I can chew...but, I'm stubborn, I am gonna keep at it until I choke. :P Edit: Thank you, Karina, for your wonderful list of games! I will absolutely put it to use. And thank you, littelblossomz, for your in-depth guide! I have tried Food Club before (a failed endeavor that was!), I will have to look at your links and give it another go! Oh, and.....heh...as far as the restocking from user shops goes...I am the proud owner of a Golden Coconut Bowling Ball...I've had it FOREVER! /grin Thank you all so much...you guys (and gals!) rule! :) Zombiiesque and Rebecca~
miemieh
I see that you're a premium member, so if you'd only battle in the premium arena, there should be a very big chance to get one/two nerkmids a day. So 200K a day. 75K from Habi. (just guessing a bit), 100K KQ prizes, you could make 25K from flash games, without having too much trouble. 400K a day, so you could make the 10mil in a month. fullonparanoid
Hey gang! I thought I would give an update on my Progress... I am..believe it or not...less than 1 million away from my goal. o.O Between Keyquest and Habi...other games and my Shop...donations and Trades...I have raked together nearly 10million np in just about 3 days. I'm floored. And to think...I was not very hopeful of even doing it by the end of the year! So, for those of you that chipped in and helped...be it with advice, purchases, donations, or just honest to goodness well wishes... Thank you! :D And today I got my neo-mail verifying my TLP lends for the month! ANNNND Advent Calendar started! What a great start to the month! :P Zombiiesque and Rebecca~

fullonparanoid
Oy, Karma...yes, was a whirlwind! Stocking, battling, habi'ing, Keyquesting, trading, 'advertising', replying to neomails....it seemed non-stop! I still cannot believe I did it. :D Now, to be fair...I wound up having a couple items in my SDB that were actually quite valuable...that is what really allowed me to accomplish my goal so quickly. And, yes, Zombii...I am battling as well. I wish that the Premium arena would cough up more prizes, though. I seem to have my best luck in the Neocola Centre, so far as prizes worth anything go.
