What I did was keep it bookmarked and I checked it every five minutes or so while I was online (sometimes more) and got it after a couple of days. Good luck to you! ^_^ Quote

The shop will move twice as fast, giving you more chances to get the avatar than usual. Other advice would be to not look at the picture or name, just look for items priced 5,000nps or higher.
