I haven't played the stocks consistently in a while, so I tend to sell when my stocks come up at a profit. I used to sell when they hit 50 or so though.

I wait for them to hit 60... I've been buying and selling shares on neo for quite a few years now and this seemed like a good point for me personally. I'm always a little envious of the people who are patient enough to hold out for them to reach 80-100... I bet it feels great to sell a few thousand at that amount!

I have a unique sellpoint for each stock based on historic events (a point that it's reached ~3 times in the past, barring any unusual trends, such as those that trend in the several-hundreds for years, then drop to a "normal" stock). I posted my sellpoints in the stock market thread, if anyone's interested.

I've now decided not to sell my stocks till I reach the 1,000,000NPs in investments in stocks so that I can get the avvie :) I didn't know that was a thing till a couple days ago. It's really hard not selling when they hit a good number though :(

I sell my stocks whenever they go up a little bit because i get worried that next time the price will go down to where there is no profit.

I usually sell at 50-60. I find that at that price point, I am selling shares atleast once every 2-3 weeks. And usually when I sell I have 7-9k shares. So I don't usually mind the time waiting for the price to rise because that just gives me more time to buy up shares! :)

I'm doing the same thing :) It's really hard, I agree. I haven't sell any of my stocks for a long time and will keep like that until I get the avie wich will still take long

60+. I stagger them though, so I'll do 1000 shares at 60, then another 1000 at 65, and so on until I feel like it is going back downhill, and I'll sell everything I've got as long as it's still above 60. I hardly sell anything out of my portfolio this way. Maybe like one stock every two or three months, but the profits are nice to see :)

Depends on the quantity I'm holding. If it's over 5k-ish, I'll hold until 45-50. If it's 1-2k, I sell at 30. When it's that small a quantity I'm indifferent as to whether I get the extra 30k or not, because I'd rather sell than risk another drop. Works well enough for me. :)
