Just wondering - I'm new at the stocks. I feel like I'd sell at 30, because that would mean I doubled my money - but I'm not sure. What do you think?

I sell them at either 30 or 45 depending on if I think it will go up more.

I sell at 30 because I'm impatient. I like faster profits. And I feel like it evens out in the end since I'm making less money but more often.

I sell mine right when they get profit but recently I have changed that to 30. :laughingsmiley:

My selling point is 30. However, if a stock reaches 30+, I sell most of it (around 60%) and save some of it just in case the stock continues to go up. I never sell all of it, unless I can get a 200% profit off it (meaning that if a stock reaches 45+ (I only buy at 15), I sell all of it).

My current sell point is 60, but I'm starting to reconsider, because it's so rare to see the stocks go that high. I might lower to 45.

Same here. It's so nice when it does get to 60, but it happens so rarely. ;__;

Usually when my NP doubles or if it's a little under that.

Sometimes I just leave it there to see how much it can gain before dropping again xD.

There are only two stocks over 60 now. KSON and VPTS. Not even Neopian Times is up there any more. It seems that MPC might make it there though. (I sold it though after it passed 35. :( ) I think that COFL and POWR might make it to 45 so that's my new selling point. 300% (maybe 200% though.)

I sell in increments, 1st at 40, then 50, then 60 until I run out of stocks.

Not really. Most stocks go higher than 30 before dropping....that means lost opportunities.

I guess I've ended up super lucky since I almost never see my stocks actually AT 30 so it usually ends up being higher. For example, MPC recently went from 90% to 143% in 24 hours. I don't get a chance to check my stocks as often as many people so I have to make do but it seems to work okay.

I sell them at around 60 too and because of that I don't think I sold any stocks in months lol

I'm completely new to the stock market and just started investing about ten days ago, so I've been looking to the TDN forums to help me decide on a good selling point. My only good stock right now is POWR, and I suppose I'll aim for 45 with that one. It's a tricky business, investing :( I'm always afraid I'll sell too soon and miss out as soon as it skyrockets, however rare that might be.

I sold my 2000 shares of POWR yesterday when it was 39, now it is 31 I don't know but I would sell it.

I sell at 60. I find that many stocks do go up past 30 fairly often, so if you want a balance between being impatient and having to wait forever, I'd say 45 would be a reasonable selling point. I haven't sold any in awhile since it has been quite some time since anything I've had has been above 60 but that being said, when it does, the profit is very nice :)

Yea, many of my stocks pass 30NP per share, so I usually wait and if it seems to sit at like 35 or go down I sell it. But if it continues to go up I sell at 45.

30 or more. It depends on my mood actually. :P

I usually sell mine around 75, with a few I will risk going to 100 and a half dozen that I sell at 60 because they seldom hit 75.

For those aren't sure where to put your sell point, keep in mind:

The average stock will reach

30 NP/share every 110 days,

45 NP/share every 240 days,

60 NP/share once a year,

75 NP/share once every 2 years,

100 NP/share once every 7-8 years.

(From http://www.neodaq.com/charts/ReportCard.php )

Figure out how much patience you have and set your sell point, but keep in mind for most stocks, you're better of hitting the interest button rather than waiting for it to reach 100 or higher.

I usually sell around 60, however I have no need for the cash currently so I tend not to bother selling anyway, waiting for the day one hits over 100 atm :)
