walttdn Posted September 2, 2012 Share Posted September 2, 2012 Please help, I need a step by step guide how this was solved, the regular guide isnt helping me and I need to see my exact puzzle solved to understand better. step 1 you know the 3 blank shapes are all #3 because you are given 3 of #1 and 3 of #2 already so you know shapes are 1 2 3 1 3 3 2 2 1 step 2 looking at the pattern with 2 yellows You have 2 choices to place it but it has to go on the middle and bottom row because if it went on the top you would have 2 yellow #3 _ _ Y _ _ Y 1 2 3 1 3 Y3 2 2 Y1 step 3 you now only have 1 chocie to place the pattern with the red _ _ _ R _ _ 1 2 3 1 R3 Y3 2 2 Y1 step 4 again you only have 1 choice to put the vertical pattern with the blue since the other 2 spots in the middle row already have colors - B _ 1 2 3 B1 R3 Y3 2 2 Y1 step 5 now the square with the blue can only go in 1 place _ _ _ B 1 2 3 B1 R3 Y3 2 B2 Y1 step 6 the horizontal yellow pattern has to go on the bottom because if it went on the top row you would have 2 yellow #1 Y _ _ 1 2 3 B1 R3 Y3 Y2 B2 Y1 step 7 You have 2 colors for all 3 shapes so you can fill in the correct 3rd color for the remining spots.
