I think I kind of get it. I'm not so great with puzzles so this will take a while to get used to. Are the purples just there as unknowns? Thank you so much for your help! :) Quote

It's hard to explain this one. You have to keep trying the clues in different places until there are no errors (two different things in the same square, or two squares the same). If you put the clue with red and "1" on the left, and the clue with yellow and blue on the right you get this: ?? ?1 ?? ?? ?? B? R? Y? ?? Now look at the clue with 2 and B2. It can't go on the top row because ?1 is already there. So it has to go in the middle row: ?? ?1 ?? ?? ?2 B? R? Y? B2 Now look at the clue with Y? and ?2. If you put that on the bottom row then you would end up with two squares that are B2, which is no good. Put it on the top row: ?? ?1 ?2 ?? Y2 B? R? Y? B2 We now have a B2 and a Y2, so ?2 must be R2: ?? ?1 R2 ?? Y2 B? R? Y? B2 Now look at the clue with ?1 and ?3. It can't go on the right because ?3 and B2 can't go in the same square. Put it on the left: ?? ?1 R2 ?1 Y2 B? R? Y3 B2 Now look at the clue with Y? and R? It can only go on the top row: Y? R1 R2 ?1 Y2 B? R? Y3 B2 We have now used all the clues, and just need to fill in the gaps to that we end up with 3 of each symbol, 3 of each color, with no 2 squares the same. We have Y2 and Y3, so Y? must be Y1. We have R1 and R2, so R? must be R3: Y1 R1 R2 ?1 Y2 B? R3 Y3 B2 The final two squares must therefore be B1 and B3. Y1 R1 R2 B1 Y2 B3 R3 Y3 B2 Hope that makes sense and helps! :) Quote
