I don't mind it too much. I kind of view it as a necessary evil. I don't bother refreshing at all, though. I just look up each item and price it at the lowest price I see on the first page. Sometimes it gets bought at that price, and sometimes it doesn't, but the next time I restock my shop I look up those prices again and adjust them if they need to be lowered. That way, I figure sometimes I'm getting more NP than I would if I refreshed each time. Plus, it's way faster.

I tried premium for awhile, thinking that it would save me so much time because of the SSW, but it didn't save me enough time to make it worth paying for.

It's such a crap process. I wish they'd make it easier. Most people who play know how to get the lowest price, it's not some huge secret. They could totally handle revamping the system. I know it's a big benefit to get the SSW through premium but honestly that should have been how it was done from the start. IMHO

It was done that way from the start. I've been on Neo for over 10 years, and I remember way back when everyone had the SSW (and it was just called the SW). Oh, I long for those days.

I reaaaaally hate pricing my shop, and I have Premium, lol. XD

Baha this is exactly how I feel XD Even with the new bar it's still really annoying! :P

I try to avoid the pain of stocking a large amount of items in one go and pricecheck/sell immediately after RS-ing. I just did a massive clearout of my SDB and it was such a pain pricing for 50 usuki items. Using an item database really helped though!

I really don't mind it. I tend to do it in small bursts, like once a day, so I have a few items to price, but not a massive amount. That way, it's not as annoying.

I find it terribly time-consuming as well :/ I refresh five times or so on the wizard like many others, and price as best as I can. I think I'm too impatient though, and I only wait a day or so before lowering the price of something. Most of the time on lowering price though, I find it too much of a bother to check the wizard and just drop by 100 NP or so.

As time consuming as it is, I find that I just raise the prices of the minimum prices I find through the shop wizard. It may take longer to sell, but I earn more and I don't have to restock as often. Anything worth less than 50np I tend to throw out in the hopes of the rubbish avatar.

I completely agree, it is such a pain. Even with premium it's still a huge chore. I'm also one of those people though who just throw everything into their SDB so I can go back to it later.

I just look at the first Shop Wizard price that comes up and subtract about 10% from it. It's really weird, Neopets is the only pet site I use that doesn't show you the lowest price on the stock page/when you add the item to your shop.

I don't do much with my shop either, but I have a few shops bookmarked that serve my purposes well. There are only a dozen or so items that I buy regularly (codestones and dubloons) and when I found a couple of shops about a year ago that sell everything I need, I bookmarked them and just accepted the higher price.

One of them always has at least 50 one, two and five dubloon coins at any given time, so I never end up having an item snatched from me before I can buy it. I figure restocking is easy, since the items they sell don't vary much. As long as there is one of an item in the shop with a price, all the others that are added will be the same price. It seems like a reliable strategy.

For a short while, I tried something similar, but with less expensive items. I'd collect a dozen of an item and set a price a little above what I saw on the Shop Wizard. Then I'd buy up all the ones cheaper than mine, so I'd not only have 20 of the item, but it would be the cheapest. I lost interest pretty quickly though. Shops take effort to maintain, and I play Neopets because I'm too lazy to get a real pet.

It's pretty boring maintaining a shop, no matter what size mainly because of the constant searching of items and refreshing that people hate.

The only thing that keeps me motivated to actually somewhat restock my shop is the profit I make from it.

Argh, yes. I don't like maintaining it. I generally don't sell items below 100 NP, so I just donate them. I don't like seeing those items in my safety deposit box.

Yea, I usually stock my shop once every two weeks and book the whole thing.
