Rules With Side Accounts

Basically, all the rules boil down to: don't make NP on sides.

If you aren't sure if you can do a certain thing, ask yourself: will I profit by doing this?

If so, don't do it. :)

EDIT: Here is a good guide that lays out what things, specifically, you can or can't do on sides, how many sides you can have, etc.

Oh okay. So making a side account that I want to use to store rainbow dung is okay?

Can you store you main account's NP in you side account's bank?

Yes you can, actually! As long as the NP comes from your main account, or from Random Events, that's fine. :) Having a bank account is totally fine. But no, I don't think having a shop is kosher.

*Hugs TNT* I was wondering if simply having a bank account on a side account is allowable? I looked through the Editorial and found that collecting interest on a side account is against the rules, but I was wondering if actually having a bank account was also against the rules, too. I recently made a side account for the sole purpose of making a second gallery (love themed because I'm getting married!) and was wanting to allot myself a certain amount of NPs each month for that side gallery. For example, I was thinking that I would send over, say, 10k or something every month to upgrade and buy the items on my list. Additionally, if I have some NPs left over from that, I was wanting a safe place to keep them so that no tax collectors or Random Events take anything left on hand. Thanks for your time and keep up the great work. (P.S.: If you really loved us you would give us a Chef Bonju clue :P) Please remove my username - thanks! ~[username removed]

Having a bank account is fine, though we do encourage players to keep their funds on their main account. Also, items should be purchased with your main account and then sent to the side account. :) Congrats on the upcoming nuptials, and we do love you guys, but no, we're still not giving you a clue! :D

yep, bank account is ok, interest not. looking through old editorials is a good way of figuring out side account rules too :)

PS. love the editorial days of yore when bonju was the ultimate mystery avatar :P

I don't think it says anything in the rule that you CAN'T have a shop on your side. I see nothing wrong with having if all the items in there are from your main account.

So yeah, what doi you do with your 2.5k starter?

You can't have a shop because all purchasing/interaction through shopping with other players must occur on your main.

You can keep the starter set there or put it on your main.

Keep in mind, if you do create a second account, to be usable it must also have a pet on it.

From the editorial:

I would appreciate it if you could answer this question for me. This is a side account, and I was wondering if it was okay for me to make a shop on here, but not sell anything in it, because I want the Emo Usuki avatar on this account. Can I do that? ~emuzement

Hmm... yeah, that sounds fine. :) There's no rule against having a shop on your side account; you just can't sell anything from it.

Basically, you can't have a shop that is actually open and functional.
