Zombiiesque
Okay, I just created my very first lookup, using Izzy's tutorial. I'd really like to get into more complicated styles, but since this is my first time, I just messed about a bit with the css and did my title image - I'm hoping it looks all right! Here's the link: http://www.neopets.com/userlookup.phtml?user=zombiiesque I plan to add a bit more to flesh out my "about me" eventually, of course. Severely disappointed to not be able to use the underline tag! I wonder why? I'd like to make my own shield too, but that will require a bit more than I've done before. I know it's simple, but what do you guys think?
Rebecca~
Very cute! :D I love the spooky them you've tied in everywhere- your avatar and shopkeeper. :D Did underlines just not show up? I noticed in the page source that you had specific mentions for bold and italics- maybe make one for underlines too? I imagine that the font style would be "underline". :)

I noticed in the page source that you had specific mentions for bold and italics- maybe make one for underlines too? I did actually do that and had experimented with underlining my side account usernames, and noticed when I previewed the lookup it completely took the u code out - in the body, not in the css. I tried it a couple more times with no luck and then I did a little google research, and saw that people were mentioning that the underline code doesn't work? I don't know why, exactly, so I just took it out. I really like the style. BTW it would look really good for Halloween. Thank you so much! Yes, totally it could be customised for (hehehe, obviously) my favourite holiday!!
cleomiele
It looks fantastic! Especially for your first time ever trying out lookups! :) I love your Sophie motif.
Zombiiesque
Aww, you think so? That's awesome of you to say! Yeah, I love Sophie, she's such a cute little witch. <3 EDIT: Meh, I added the TDN avvie counter and noticed two things: There's a border around my image even though it says 0 on the value, and I don't want to remove the other image borders in my layout - and my avvie count seems to be off by one. I must have accidentally clicked something I shouldn't have at some point. Too sleepy and have to be up early tomorrow for work, so I'll find out which avvie I accidentally checked off after that. If anyone has any idea how to get rid of that one border, I'd appreciate the tip!
andaraen
Overall, I like the lookup. :) The only complaint I can come up with is that particular shade of green on top of a black background is hard on my eyes.
complicatedwishes
I really like it, it looks awesome! Especially the colours used :) well done!
sara1elo
I think it is fantastic! I love Sophie so that is a plus for me! The colours you choose look perfect together! You did a great job!
karmacow
I think it looks great :) To be honest, userlookups don't need to be overly complicated to look good. Simple can be good.
Zombiiesque
Aww, thank you guys SO so much, I was a little nervous to show it off but I figured this was a really good place to get feedback from! Overall, I like the lookup. :) The only complaint I can come up with is that particular shade of green on top of a black background is hard on my eyes. Yes, those colors are a bit bright - I should have put a warning about it eh? ;) I always liked bright fonts on dark backgrounds myself, reminds me of the "older" computing days actually. I kind of knew they wouldn't suit for everyone though!
arkwright
Oh I really like it! Especially the colour scheme, excellent work :D My userlookups are always hopelessly plain.

Hmm. :| I have absolutely no idea then!
vyvren
I think you did a great job, Nicole! C: I really love the color scheme - and of course, being the huge fan of Halloween, horror and everything that goes with it, the theme gets a huge plus too :P
Lucas
For your first one, i think its pretty good :) the only thing i would change is how theres white BGs on the "trades, neofriend, neomail, etc" stuff. But idk if theres a way to fix that. Either way good job :)
Zombiiesque
Ahhh you guys are so sweet! :D I really appreciate it. Rebecca, it's a bit strange and there wasn't an explanation that I could find so I just moved on, what can you do eh? Erika, ahhh I thought you might appreciate that haha! ;) Lucas, I'd LOVE to customise those - I'd need to make a set of buttons and find out what code replaces those - it would be so cool! I think those are straight graphics, I would bet there's a code somewhere for it if I could get creative enough with buttons! I think I'd need a few more spooky NP images to work with, food for thought! Thanks. Edit: I found a guide to help replace the icons and the shield, not too difficult actually, now tomorrow I will try to find a guide to replace things like the key quest tokens, stamps etc. This is pretty fun! ashleagh
Oh my goodness, you did that yourself? It's wonderful :) I've always wanted to try coding, but I guess I'm a little intimidated by it. Perhaps I will check out this tutorial myself! Is this the page you used? http://www.neopets.com/~sariyra
Zombiiesque
Thank you! Yep, with the help of Izzy's guide - that's the one I used! I found another guide to mess with the code of the icons and the shield, and then I did the graphics myself, along with expanding a tiny bit on the css, not much at all really though. I'm not too familiar with the newest css codes, so it was really helpful to have that guide! It was actually pretty fun transforming it myself. I've still got to figure out replacing the stamp collection etc, but I'm sure I'll find that info as well. Now I need to make one for hubby and daughter hehe! They've both put in requests. o_O
monabaka
I like it very much! The image is really cool! I tried to make an userlookup with Izzy's, but I found another guide which told me how to make lookups with the blocks in other places... So I used that one. But your lookup is so much cooler than mine! I love it!
Zombiiesque
Haha awww, you are so sweet, thank you again! I want to play with it some more, see what else I can do too.
