Hello everyone and welcome to our Altador Cup VII report for the 14th day of the competition. Yesterday’s scores have just been tallied and we’re bringing you the latest news from the Colosseum. Here’s Mouseykins with that report.

"Hi there! The teams of the Alabriss Bracket had an exciting day yesterday. Mystery Island obtained three more wins to be added to the impressive total they've been racking up this year. Shootout Showdown ended with a draw between the Natives and the Chillers. At the start of the tournament, the Chillers were making good progress and were appearing to be quite capable when it came to Yooyuball. As of recently, it looks like things have taken a turn for Terror Mountain, as they seem to have entered a rough patch. Now that we're halfway through the tournament, Chiller fans are hoping for some more wins to turn things back around.

Once again, Faerieland has been swept by Krawk Island. Faerieland is not doing so well this year, and all their fans are hoping for a turn of events to show everyone just what they're made of. Let's see if the Faeries have any tricks up their sleeves for the rest of the tournament. They may be saving the best for last. The Pirates have been doing great so far in the tournament and are leaving their fans on the edges of their seats attempting to predict what the outcome will be at the end of the day.

The last match of this bracket was a close one. Meridell faced off with Kiko Lake this round and ended with two wins and two draws. The Meridell Knights are having a fantastic tournament this year. Their progress is spectacular, but what else do you expect from Knights? In this match, Meridell lifted a win from Kiko Lake in Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. Both teams took a draw in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown, making it a tight race to the finish line. Kiko Lake is also having an amazing tournament so far. Expect the Kikos and Knights to continue keeping us on our toes with anticipation!

This is Mousey... What the? *thump thump* Where is all this hail coming from? The sky is completely clear! *Thwack* Ouch! That was my head! I'd better get out of here before the sky really opens up and leaves me stranded! This is Mouseykins for The Daily Neopets. Back to you Star! [shouts over the thunder] Must find cover. [runs and hides]"

Thanks Mouseykins for that report on the Alabriss bracket - and stay safe! Moving on to the remaining matches now, we have Virtupets taking the victory in Yooyuball and two other games, leaving Moltara with a single win in Shootout Showdown. With yesterday's gameplay, both Virtupets and Moltara will stay in fourth and fifth place respectively in Minitheus Bracket.

In hotly contested games, neither Brightvale nor Tyrannia came off the better as they tied in Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown, and each winning one of the side games. Despite this tie, Tyrannia leads Brightvale on the board for the Minitheus bracket, Tyrannian placing second and Brightvale third.

Skipping ahead to take a look at-

(door bursts open)

Hey, what's going on?!

"Oi! What are you doing here? This is our room, get out!"

Excuse me? This is a registered press office, you can't just barge in-

"Outoutout! We booked this room for catering! We have a thousand guests to serve and only two hours to prepare! No time for arguing!"

There must be some kind of mistake. This is a permanent office!

"Nonsense! We filed our booking downstairs! Paid the fees and everything! Come on, get the supply trucks unloaded so we can get to work! We can't leave them outside in the hail for too long! Oi! What is all of this junk?! Get it out of the way!"

Hey, don't touch that transmitter box- *FZZZZZZT!*

*crrrrrrrrrrr...*

*ahem* We appear to be having some... scheduling difficulties at our Colosseum studio. We'll try and restore the connection. In the meantime, we'll go ahead and review yesterday's Vaeolus Bracket results.

Starting off the bracket was an intense game between Team Maraqua and top trio contenders Darigan Citadel. As the Citadel Minions revved up to full strength, the Maraquans found themselves unable to hold off their relentless advances, with the Darigan Citadel crushing their opponents in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger, and Shootout Showdown. Making their indignation known from the stands, Maraqua's supporters were able to hit back in Make Some Noise, but that had little bearing on the match's final result, which remained firmly in the Citadel's favour.

Both Kreludor and Roo Island pulled through with excellent performance yesterday, sweeping Shenkuu and the Haunted Woods (their respective opponents) across the board. The Roos were slightly worse off however, as their sound victory somehow failed to boost their position in the tournament's cryptic new ranking system.

In what unexpectedly emerged as the highlight match of the day, Team Altador pulled out all the stops in their game against the Lost Desert Mummies, surprising their opponents, their opponents' supporters, analysts, and even their own fans, not with a bold new strategy, but with a solid demonstration of the classics. Even Team Lost Desert's formidable Yooyuball squad were taken aback by Altador's carefully crafted selection of ancient techniques, many drawn from the earliest days of Yooyuball, and most dating back to before Altador's thousand-year slumber.

"It was an awesome thing to see," enthused Lost Desert Forward Vonde Cayle in the post-match press conference. “Most of this stuff is thousands of years old, and half the experts you talk to would tell you that none of it works in modern Yooyuball. But those guys went and dug it up, translated it, and painstakingly touched up each piece before fitting it into the new version of the game. Geez, it must have taken them years to get to this point. Kudos to them, they definitely earned today's draw, and playing against them was a blast. It was like watching a living, breathing piece of history unfold right in front of you. And then shoot a bunch of Yooyus past your goalkeeper... yeah. Leera's not really into history..."

With the Yooyuball tally ending dead even, it fell to the side games to decide the overall outcome of the match. While Team Altador's fans were as steadfast and supportive as ever, they couldn't quite match the Lost Desert's efforts in the side games, with the Mummies fighting hard to take Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown, retaining their top spot in Minitheus Bracket.

Looking ahead to the next day of the tournament, Altador will be pitting their newfound prowess against the Virtupets Robots - slightly less formidable opponents than the Lost Desert, but a major challenge for the underdog team nevertheless. All eyes will be on the home team as they work to develop their skills as a championship contender. Elsewhere in the bracket, Team Lost Desert will be taking on the Brightvale Wizards, while rock solid contenders Tyrannia and Moltara battle it out for the second time this season.

Moving up to Alabriss Bracket, Team Terror Mountain face an uphill battle against top tier contenders Krawk Island, while aspiring heavyweights Kiko Lake go head-to-head with the well established Mystery Island Natives. It's Team Faerieland who will meet the toughest opposition however, paired into yet another gruelling match against bracket leaders Team Meridell.

Vaeolus Bracket Teams Shenkuu and Haunted Woods have their first rematch today, and this time around the Haunted Woods Zombies will be looking to turn the tables on the Ninjas. The rest of the bracket has been populated with fresh pairings for the day, as mid-tier contenders Roo Island and Maraqua attempt to take on two of the top trio, Team Darigan Citadel and Team Kreludor respectively. While their teams are far from favoured by most analysts' estimates, supporters of the two underdogs remain none the less enthusiastic, with one Maraqua supporter saying:

"With all this hail going on I wish I'd brought an umbrella... Kreludor needs an umbrella too, 'cause Maraqua is going to RAIN... on... their parade... oh man, I stink. Anyway, looking forward to a good match!"

That's all for now, folks. This is AA, reporting from Altador Central, signing off.

Roo Island swept Haunted Woods, Haunted Woods is in 4th but Roo Island is 3rd.

Krawk Island swept Faerieland, the only sweep in the bracket, Krawk Island is 3rd.

Virtupets won the most in the bracket, they are 4th.

TNT is failing miserably at "fair", so much for their rules section saying winning matters. It doesn't. This is from the rules:

Your results in each daily match-up contribute to your team's overall standing in the tournament. Please remember to help your team win all four daily match-ups.

Total lies.

It's because they're taking into account the points from previous rounds too. Lost Desert was immediately first in the new bracket because they had the highest cumulative round points up until then, at 20 points instead of Virtupets' 9. Krawk Island might have swept but Mystery Island and Meridell also won, and started the round with 30 and 26 points while Krawks were 23.

Roo Island and Haunted Woods however...makes no sense. Okay then I have no idea what's going on.

And to Altador: nice job giving it your all yesterday! I got a massive headache and couldn't play a single game.

That doesn't account for the first round brackets. For several days Krawk Island had a better record than Darigan but Darigan stayed in first. Moltara had a better record as well. Plus, Meridell is 1st but Mystery Island has 30 points to Meridell's 26. If it were based on cumulative points then MI should be first.

It just shows that TNT has completely changed everything and even winning is meaningless.
