morgennaraene
They need to fix it and fix it NOW!!! Neopets and their stoopid ads!!!! I was completely freaking out on the Help board thinking something had happened to my Chomby, but apparently everyone else but ME can see him, and yes he's still safe and sound in my account.. Anyone know how or where I can get an ad blocker, cause he's completely hidden from me by an ad...
idriya
It depends on what browser you're using. If you're using FireFox, you can download the FireFox Plus ad-on here. If you're on Chrome, just go the Chrome Web Store and download the AdBlock ad-on from there. :) And don't blame TNT for this. They need to make money, too. TDN has ad-blocking guides for Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 Safari: http://safariadblock.com/ If your web browser is not covered by TDN, I'll do what it takes to find you an ad-blocking add-on for your web browser. Navy
Ad-block comes in handy, I had this same problem too.

I don't blame them for needing to use advertising to make money, but when it interferes with my ability to see or customize my pet, then I feel I have a right to be angry. It's not like TNT doesn't get any money out of me either, I've spent PLENTY at the NC Mall.. I mean, how can they NOT know that the ad is hiding pets? There were other people who've been having the same problem.. Anyways, I submitted a ticket; I want my baby back!!! I generally use Google Chrome, I'll check it out and see if I can get the ad blocker thing.. Do you have to pay for it?

It is absolutely free and very convenient for blocking unwanted ads.
Ashbash
I'm going to have to check out this ad-blocker thing too. I've only had ads be in my way a couple of times but usually if I refresh the page they're gone.
morgennaraene
I tried refreshing, numerous times and it won't go away, that's why at first I thought something bad had happened and somehow someone had stolen him or whatever :P Like, the row of the pics of your pets is even pushed over to the right and there's a big gap on the left that would leave plenty of room for a fourth pet.. It must be some kind of glitch with the formatting, hopefully they fix it soon, MY BABY BE NEKKID AND I WANT TO GET HIM DRESSED!!! :D Edit~ All is now well, thanks for pointing me in the right direction for the Ad Blocker, I gots my baby back :D
lilshadowdweller
I had the exact same problem, and I had sent them a ticket. It happened BOTH while I using Google Chrome and Firefox. It happened like 3 days ago. When I put up the ad-blocker, it instantly resolved the problem and sped up my browsing! So clean now and none-cluttered. =D And don't blame TNT for this. They need to make money, too. Wait - so, who exactly should be blamed? TNT had the ads on their before, but they weren't blocking on the pets. I appreciate you defending them but obviously TNT are the ones at fault with an alteration; she can blame them all she likes. -_- She can't blame herself, can she? And it's TNT job to make sure the game is playable - ads can be there, but not interfere with the playing experience. They need to know so they can fix it. moni_rawr
I use Ad-Block Plus...quite similar to Ad-Block, except it gives you the ability to have it enabled on only the sites you want it to with just a check/uncheck of a box. As for the ad hiding your pet, I would suggest reporting the ad to TNT so they are aware of the issue. Take a screenshot of it to show them what it is doing. Angeló
I have the same problem on Chrome .. when I click the Pet Central page ... something pushes my 4th pet under the ad .. this is new btw it didn't happen before ... yes I agree TNT have to fix it
morgennaraene
@ Angelo: that's exactly what it was doing but once I downloaded the ad blocker plus, the situation was instantly resolved and like ' lilshadowdweller', I find that browsing the site is a lot faster too.. @ moni: I don't know how to take a screen shot, I've tried before and just can't seem to figure it out. I've submitted a ticket though and let them know that I'm using an ad blocker and will continue to do so until they rectify the issue.. Ashbash
Are you on a mac or a pc? The directions for a screenshot are different depending on which one you are using. Mac: command + shift + 4 (brings up a different cursor that you can drag to capture a portion of the screen.) command + shift + 3 (captures the entire screen) I googled the directions for a pc and I think this site really just explains it best for any platform you could possibly be using: http://take-a-screenshot.org/ Hope that helps! morgennaraene
I don't think I can do it with my laptop, someone said I need to get a USB keyboard in order for it to work that way? I was trying to get a screenshot of my Habitarium to post on a board here and couldn't get it to work until I used the snapshot option in the Habi, copied it to my desktop, uploaded it to Photobucket then copied it to the board from there.. Ridiculously complicated.. I checked out the site you posted the link to and it kept talking about a clipboard.. I tried doing what it said but I don't know where my clipboard is to even see if it's working.. *sigh* I'm about to give up.. Edit~ This was the response I got to my ticket; it's a Chrome issue apparently.. Hi morgennaraene! A solution for your issue has been suggested. Thank you for writing in! We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulties viewing your pet in the Quickref page! Our developers are aware of this issue and are working hard to resolve it. This seems to be happening only when using Chrome as your browser. If you would like a work-around while we get this bug fixed, please try using another browser! :) Since your ticket has been all handy-dandy categorized we are able to distribute and prioritize the issue you have reported. Unfortunately we will not be able to give you an exact date of when this problem may be fixed (since any time frame is subject to change) but we are aware of it and appreciate your report!
