My mom got bit by a tick and is very sick right now. I'm scared she's going to die even though she's not in the hospital and is cooking this very minute.

See, I have Aspergers. I can't drive because I have epilepsy and am scared I'll go into assisted living and won't have internet and my Neopets. I hear there is a lot of strict rules and abuse in those facilities. I don't want to live with my Grandparents because they don't have internet either.

Any help?

Oh my, I'm so very sorry to hear this, My recommendations are to be on as much as possible before you know anything for sure, once you know, either give your pets up for adoption or keep them if you can.

I'm obviously not a doctor, but I don't think you have much to worry about. People and animals get bit by ticks all the time! If there is any worry on your mum's part (there doesn't seem to be any as she's continuing on her everyday life), go to a doctor and they will prescribe some antibiotics if needed!

About assisted living - you won't know unless you see - but there doesn't appear to be any need to worry about going to one right now. But, even so, most places have internet now-a-days and of course you're only going to hear about the negative stories more-so than the positive ones but many many many people have nothing but positive experiences in their time at assisted living facilities!

Try not to worry too much! Hope your mum feels better soon!

Ticks are not fun. My boyfriend has been bit like three times over the past 5 years. She could get Lyme disease from them. So it is normally good to go get it checked out.
