For those that don't know, ships are when someone wants two people on a show or book to get together. Whether they actually become canon (together on the show) or not.

 

So share your favourites? I love knowing what other people think!

For me? I get excited whenever I see a moment between characters I ship.

 

Mine are (Alphabetical by series):

 

Tom and Diania (4400) or Tom and Alana

JJ and Hotch (Criminal Minds),Or Hotch and Reid, JJ and Emily, though not as much as JJ/Hotch.

Pacey and Joey (Dawson's Creek) Though, Dawson and Joey and Andie and Pacey are second on that show.

Dexter and Lumen (Dexter)

Tai and Sora (Digimon)

Joey and Rachel (Friends) Though, I don't mind Ross/Rachel. I also love the Chandler and Joey friendship. <3

Peter and Olivia (Fringe)

Snape and Lily (Harry Potter)

Sesshomaru and Kagura (Inuyasha) Though I adore Sess/Rin in a NON romantic way.

Claire and Charlie (Lost)

Sabrina and Harvey (Sabrina the Teenage Witch)

Dean and Bela (Supernatural) And love the Dean and Castiel friendship. <3

Hige and Blue (Wolf's Rain)

 

 

 

If you can't tell, the bold are the ones that I absolutely adore without a doubt. So share yours please! But if you don't agree with someone's pairing, don't bash the pairing. It really isn't pleasant when someone bashes your pairing.

I love the pairing. I thought that everyone was Hotch/Prentiss but actually found a huge group of people that I have come close to where we all cry over the lack of Jotch moments, together. xD

 

And I support Morgan and Prentiss as well. :) I've written fanfiction for both pairings.

Oh, so it has finally started. The thread I have been waiting for *cracks knuckles* To keep this short I'm only gonna do 1 pairing from whatever shows/movies/books

 

Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler (Law & Order SVU), Renly Baratheon and Loras Tyrell (Song of Ice and Fire), Naruto and Hinata (Naruto), Yelana and Valek (Poison Study series), Lucrezia and Djem (The Borgias), Maka and Soul (Soul Eater), Ron and Hermione (Harry Potter), Faramir and Arowen (LotR), Izaya and Shizuo (haaaahahahaha) (Durarara), Nabile and Jazan (>.>), Tony and Ziva (NCIS) annnnnnnnd I think I shall spare you all by stopping there. Those are my favorite pairings, though. Not necessarily my favorite characters from each series.

 

My favorite character in Harry Potter is BY FAR Luna Lovegood. And you gotta love Arya in the Song of Ice and Fire. :D

Mostly, I like ones that are already canon and established so I won't go into those (and they're mostly from Glee anyway, lol)... but I have a few I'd love to see:

 

Vampire Diaries - Damon / Elena, Stefan / Katherine

Criminal Minds - Morgan / Penelope (as enwhyyou said, although maybe I'd like to see some romance develop too), Reid with anyone that'll treat him right

BBC's Sherlock - Sherlock / Molly

Lord of the Rings - I don't usually ship straight-as-gay, but since others are... Aragorn and Boromir (before Boromir went crazy and died, leaving Aragorn to fall into Arwen's arms anyway)

Harry Potter - Luna / Neville should have been canon, so cute! I'm torn in half about Snape and Lily because I think they'd have been great together, but I over-think these things and can't help but think that if Harry were Snape's son then would have saved Harry as a baby instead of James, and then Harry wouldn't have had Snape when he was at Hogwarts.

Am I the only one with a preference for canon or popular ships (subconsciously), or do you find that most people give you weird (as in "where-did-that-come-from", not "wait-you-spend-your-time-doing-this") looks when you talk about your ships?

Oh wow. I feel like if I got started it would not stop... so I'm just going to mention the ship I'm most dedicated to right now:

 

Peeta x Katniss

 

I'm a Psychology/English major, so the Hunger Games books are fabulous for me, since I think Suzanne Collins does a pretty awesome job of not only a) writing a good YA book but also b ) showing how Katniss gradually goes a bit psycho and c) showing the effects something like the Hunger Games would have on people. And IMO, Peeta was the only one good for Katniss. Or not good, but right.
