Welcome back from your vacation Airiya. :D How was it?

I've made quite a bit off of some retired items, though I don't remember off-hand which ones they were. I did have a lava lamp that was retired after I bought it. I bought it extremely cheaply, and it sold for 40k.

It was pretty awesome~

Got to see some really great shows such as "Legends in Concert" and "The Variety Show".

Still don't think it was the greatest family vacation spot though, I am sooo going back with my friends ahaha

Maybe I should sell some of my retired items, when I really need the money lol >.<

Well what are you saving up for? And what kind of retired items do you have? Some of them might not be worth holding on to for long, and some might :)

Vegas is trying to become more family oriented, but I don't think it's a good place. I went with my sister and we went when we were both in our early/mid 20s, so it was perfect.

Just trying to save up for 2 more secret lab maps so I can zap abandoned pets and a few paintbrushes for my baby sister xD;

I have most advent calendar prizes from 6 years ago.

It just kinda sucks especially since it's 1 more year until I can legally drink in public.

It was like the time I went to Virginia Beach to visit my half-sister on my own. I couldn't touch a drink since I was 17 at the time Dx

Not a alcoholic type person, just kinda of sucks when I hang out with older friends/family and I can't go to the bars and such

I'm not a drinker at all. I very, very rarely drink. My sister is the same way. So when we went, we had 2 drinks the whole trip. One with dinner one night, and one at the Revolution Lounge before the Beatles LOVE show.

Posted

I hardly drink and when I do it's like 5% of my drink is alcoholic.

I just had a virgin pina colada though and it was sooo tangy & refreshing~

I love the girly drinks where you can't taste anything icky. :laughingsmiley: Forget wine or anything like that.

I've been hanging out recently with friends who drink on the weekends, and my one friend makes me a mixed drink with orange juice. It's delicious and barely alcoholic at all :D Next year I'll be 21...I don't know what I'm going to do for that yet. I don't much like the idea of getting drunk. When it hits 3am, I tend to act more stupid than the drunks :P

I don't drink 'cause I'm too young. ;P I have had communion wine before in very small doses, and hated it. Now, I don't go to church anymore and it's been two years since I last had communion wine. XD

But yes, I have been in bars/pubs before (only for the food) and I don't care much for the atmospheres they have. I guess it all depends on the bar/pub- I've noticed that most of them are filled with annoying, loud, middle-aged dudes who might be drunk but don't realize it. :P

:laughingsmiley: Bars and clubs aren't my types of places. I'd rather have a drink with dinner, or at home with friends or my husband for a special occasion.

Posted

I agree. I don't like bars or clubs much either. My friends tend to play fun drinking games that involve movies or TV shows, so it's not just watching them mindlessly get smashed. We have a good time, and they don't pressure me to drink. :D

Where I live, the teenage generation are rather rebellious. There are quite a lot of people my age who go out drinking every weekend.

I rarely drink. When I do, it's always with friends at parties or get-togethers.

*high five* I'll be 21 next year also ahaha.

Too bad I won't be able to celebrate with family/friends because I'll be overseas for culinary school Dx

*high fives back* hahaha awesome!!

I'll have just gotten back to school from winter break :P

That seems so far away, but then I think that a year ago now I had just performed the Planets with a symphony orchestra and wonder where all the time went in between. Geez. I was a freshman a year ago!! :O

Seriously time flies.

Funny how kids can't wait to be older and some older people wish they were young again.

I'm going to be one of those people who would always act like a kid at heart x)

Hope everyone has a great Easter today!! :D I'll eat my matzah and read my new books I bought yesterday :)

So are you Jewish and celebrating Easter or do you just like matzah? Curious...very curious...

I'm Jew-ish :P My family celebrates Jewish traditions, but in a fairly secular way. I am an atheist. However, I do have a lot of Christian friends, so I tend to wish people the appropriate happy holiday :D

Also, I love matzah :P

Posted

That's cool. I was just going to wish you a Happy Passover if you were in fact Jewish. My Jewish friend celebrates Christmas but not Easter so I was just wondering.

But Happy Passover! I guess people don't really say that so much do they?

Posted

Haha thank you!! :D Yeah, people do say happy passover. I usually get a few texts during the week from Jewish friends and stuff :) But I like to say CHAG SAMEACH!! which means good festival or something in Hebrew. (ch is pronounced like the german ACH! not like achoo :P)

Posted

That actually makes more sense so then CHAG SAMEACH!

The sun can't really decide if it wants to chase away the clouds and rain today. It's sunny a but here but looking aver the bay is really dark an ominous. There's supposed to be chance of thunder showers almost all week. <_<

Posted

Well, enjoy the sun while it's there!! It's pretty grey over here, but the sun's been randomly popping up in the afternoon, so I remain hopeful lol :P

I'm excited for some real spring weather soon. I think I'm going to start a garden this year. I have to look up stuff to find out when to plant stuff. I feel like it will probably be soon?

Posted

I'm hoping the weather warms up soon. It's near the end of April, and we had snow on Saturday, and rain/thunderstorms yesterday. <_<
