-Ryan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Tyler, i'll be more kidnapping you than anything. :P Oh, btw. I found out that on your computer you can make videos directly by using a webcam. I think my laptop has one installed. When I get home from my grandpas i'll have to make a video with a sappy speech about HAMS with fake crying atleast 3 times. Someone remind me to do that... Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 But do you want to have to go into the mountains? Isn't a road trip easier? Besides, Ryan wants to see The Fray in Denver. Quote
Tyler. Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 ooh a road trip and Fray concert would be fun, and meeting you and Ryan Quote
-Ryan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Yeah, that'd be awesome. 3/6 ain't bad. xD And I would love to see The Fray. Lol, I quoted the lyrics to 2 of their songs last night on JN actually... Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 They usually perform at Red Rocks, which is an amazing place for concerts. I've been to several there. Quote
-Ryan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Sweet, how often? Is it like a once a year thing or...? Quote
Tyler. Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 well hopefully it's in winter and one of my other favorite bands is from Denver too Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I have no idea, I've never checked. I've just seen boards for them before. I mean, John Mayer, who isn't from here, comes to Colorado/Denver 1-2 times every year. Quote
Tyler. Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Denver is a major city, so most bands would go there on tours Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 That's where I go for all my concerts. Very rarely is anyone that comes to my city, worth seeing. (And my city is the 2nd largest in Colorado.) Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 But NY has the "Greatest Arena in the World" (MSG). And NY has a larger population than Denver, so they would make more money. Therefore, Denver is a popular choice, but they would go to NY first. Quote
Wembly Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Probably quite a bit faster. Though you might have more snow. How much do you have? We got almost 36" in around 12 hours last week. There is currently a 5' pile in the front yard and the corners and intersections have 6 to 10 foot piles from where the front end loaders piled it because the plows kept getting stuck. But all our snow will probably be melted in 2 weeks I'm betting which will be nice. I'm cure CAV has a ton he'd be willing to give away too. The city has even less places to put the snow than we do. Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I think he meant, if they were going to Colorado, they'd perform in Denver. Red Rocks is awesome because of it's natural acoustics. That's why it's so well known. It's an amphitheater in the middle of a rock range. Quote
Wembly Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Wow, really? That's cool Spritzie. I'm always too lazy to go see concerts in NY I usually end up going to the ones in Philly since its easier. Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 My dad grew up in the area, so he took me and my sister there once, when we were younger. And I've been to 3-4 concerts there, I think. This is some pictures of it: Quote
Tyler. Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 in my town they're at the fairgrounds, so if it's cold it sucks Quote
-Ryan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 -just logged into Neo- @Spritzie - Rofl, that is soooo going in my gallery. xD Tyler, am I on your nf list on Neo? Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Red Rocks is outside... obviously. I've only been to concerts there when it was summer/fall. The concert I saw in Denver during winter was at the Pepsi Center. (Good thing too, because there was a blizzard that night.) EDIT: I thought it would be perfect. Now if CAV would just make some space in his inventory. Quote
Tyler. Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 yea, Ryan thanks for the random gift Spritzie the problem is is that the angle of the place gives you the coldest of the ocean breeze Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I've never been a big fan of outside concerts, unless they're placed at the right time. I went to a music festival in Denver, in July. It was over 100 degrees all day and there was no shade by the stages. And we were there from 9am to 11pm. The best times I've been, was in September, or October. Quote
-Ryan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Thanks Spritzie. xD I don't think i've ever been to a concert so I really don't have an opinion there... xD Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 They're so much fun. I went to my first one when I was 13, I think. (I went with my sister and her friend.) And I've been to over 10 since then. (Not counting 2 concert cruises where I saw tons of different people. And counting the music festival as only 1.) Quote
Wembly Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I love music festivals because you get to see so many different groups for practically the same price as like 3 at a normal concert. That and music festivals let you wander around, lay in the grass or chairs and make a whole day of just loving life, bliss :wub_anim: Quote
Spritzie Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I've only been to one music festival. It had OneRepublic, John Mayer, Brett Dennen, Colbie Caillat, Tom Petty, Jason Mraz, etc. (It went over 2 days.) Quote
Wembly Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Wow, that sounds like an awesome festival. Lots of impressive artists there. I've been to a couple of Christian Music festivals which have all been awesome. Quote
