CAV of Gang Green Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I love it when it's so silent that the snow just gentle falls to the ground, without any sound. Living in NY makes that a rare moment. Quote
-Ryan Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Lol, i've only been near snowonce. Living in AZ it's hard to find a place where it snows. Prescott however welcomed me and all the 6th graders(We went on a 3-day school trip) with a mini-blizzard... xD Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 And that is why snow PWNs Ryan. He has no experience in snow, and will become a popsicle when he does get in snow. Quote
Spritzie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 And that is why snow PWNs Ryan. He has no experience in snow, and will become a popsicle when he does get in snow. My husband lived in Florida nearly all his life, so he'd never seen snow before he moved to Colorado. And he loved it. (And still does.) The cold affects me more than it affects him. Quote
-Ryan Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Yes, I made the mistake of trying to go utside with only a long-sleeve shirt. After an hour I put on anothe shirt an a jacket. Much better. That was still one of the best trips of my life though. Would've been better without the dances, a few more heaters, and oh, I don't know, maybe about 20 more degrees but whatever. :P Btw, THE SCRIPT IS RELEASING A NEW ALBUM. -jumps exctedly- -is listening to For the First Time from the new album- Lol, that's kinda awesome, Spritzie. xD Quote
Spritzie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 The first time it snowed enough to leave a good amount on the ground, he spent 4 hours outside making a snowman. :laughingsmiley: He was definitely frozen when he got back inside. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Ryan would never survive living in New York. There's not a lot of snow, but it's a lot of blazing, piercing cold that feels like daggers ripping into your face, engulfing you and any exposed part of your body freezing to the point that it's a cold flame dancing on your skin, burning you and leaving you frost bitten. I want everyone to try and picture that in their mind. ^_^ Quote
Divya Bean Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Here I am in the tropics while you guys are all talking about snow. :P I have been to a ski slope before when I was living in New Zealand though. It was pretty fun, although I was too young to actually ski then. Ah the un-snowy tropics. I like skiing. I laughed so hard over the Wikipedia thing. :laughingsmiley: Quote
-Ryan Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 -reads CAVs post- Well, on that cheerful note, lets all go skiing in NY some time. =D Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Nice new name, "Jolly Squirrel" So far, me, you, and Cornflakes are the only ones in festive season. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 We would have to ski in up-state NY, where the mountains are and there's a lot more snow. And what Wikipedia thing? The whole US government secrets thing. I did in fact laugh when that guy said that by supporting WikiLeaks, you are a terrorist. Just for that, I want to support it. So far, me, you, and Cornflakes are the only ones in festive season. Relax JB. My Christmas set will be ready in a week. I don't want to start things too early. Not right after Thanksgiving. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Relax JB. My Christmas set will be ready in a week. I don't want to start things too early. Not right after Thanksgiving. I was panicking or anything, I was just stating that we were the only ones. I'm sure as we progress more will appear. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I know you weren't panicking. I'm just telling you to hang in there. I wanted to share my Spyro sig and my self made avvie before I get to Christmas sets. Quote
Spritzie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Ah the un-snowy tropics. I like skiing. I've never been skiing, but I used to snowboard. I wasn't a big fan of it though, so I "retired". (Which just means, I didn't want to do it anymore.) Quote
-Ryan Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 GUYS! I'm not sure what happened but everything is loading again. I can finally get to Neo and youtube. 8D Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 GUYS! I'm not sure what happened but everything is loading again. I can finally get to Neo and youtube. 8D Hunh.... WHAT??? It's a miracle! The supremest miracle ever! And just in time for the Advent calendar tomorrow! Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 That's right. I forgot about the Advent Calendar.... Quote
Spritzie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I just hope I'll manage to get online every day of December. Last year, I missed 1 day. I don't want to miss a single day this year. Quote
-Ryan Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I'm 90% sure I don't have the christmas sidebar yet. Any of you guys have it? And ikr? Perfect timing! =D Lol, this i the first year i've actually been dreading winter break. I'm desperaley trying to get all my grades up. My biggest problems are History, keyboarding, and Honors Science. I think my latest A on a test secured a B+ for History though. -nodnod- Quote
Spritzie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I don't have the winter site theme yet, but I'm really hoping to get it this year. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I'm 90% sure I don't have the christmas sidebar yet. Any of you guys have it? I've got the Christmas sidebar. Do you know how to get it? Edit: Do you mean the winter one? Or is there another one? And also, the Neopets sidebar page on the main website is way out of date. Quote
Spritzie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I don't think anyone has figured it out for sure. It goes beyond getting every day's Advent Calendar prizes. But no one knows what else is required. Quote
-Ryan Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Sunnyneo probably des some yearly research project on it. I wonder if they've figured anything out yet... Quote
Spritzie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I would think if someone had the solution, it would be made known by now. :( I wish they knew, because I would really like to get it. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I don't know, nor do I really care. Not a big fan of the Christmas sidebar. I'm a bigger fan of the Halloween sidebar, which is why I was ticked off when I would have to be up at 3 AM to get it. Quote
