I love it when it's so silent that the snow just gentle falls to the ground, without any sound. Living in NY makes that a rare moment.

Lol, i've only been near snowonce. Living in AZ it's hard to find a place where it snows. Prescott however welcomed me and all the 6th graders(We went on a 3-day school trip) with a mini-blizzard... xD

My husband lived in Florida nearly all his life, so he'd never seen snow before he moved to Colorado. And he loved it. (And still does.) The cold affects me more than it affects him.

Yes, I made the mistake of trying to go utside with only a long-sleeve shirt. After an hour I put on anothe shirt an a jacket.

Much better.

That was still one of the best trips of my life though. Would've been better without the dances, a few more heaters, and oh, I don't know, maybe about 20 more degrees but whatever. :P

The first time it snowed enough to leave a good amount on the ground, he spent 4 hours outside making a snowman. :laughingsmiley: He was definitely frozen when he got back inside.

Ryan would never survive living in New York. There's not a lot of snow, but it's a lot of blazing, piercing cold that feels like daggers ripping into your face, engulfing you and any exposed part of your body freezing to the point that it's a cold flame dancing on your skin, burning you and leaving you frost bitten.

 

I want everyone to try and picture that in their mind. ^_^

Here I am in the tropics while you guys are all talking about snow. :P I have been to a ski slope before when I was living in New Zealand though. It was pretty fun, although I was too young to actually ski then.

 

Ah the un-snowy tropics. I like skiing. :yes:

We would have to ski in up-state NY, where the mountains are and there's a lot more snow.

I've never been skiing, but I used to snowboard. I wasn't a big fan of it though, so I "retired". (Which just means, I didn't want to do it anymore.)

Lol, this i the first year i've actually been dreading winter break. I'm desperaley trying to get all my grades up. My biggest problems are History, keyboarding, and Honors Science. I think my latest A on a test secured a B+ for History though. -nodnod-

I don't think anyone has figured it out for sure. It goes beyond getting every day's Advent Calendar prizes. But no one knows what else is required.

I don't know, nor do I really care. Not a big fan of the Christmas sidebar. I'm a bigger fan of the Halloween sidebar, which is why I was ticked off when I would have to be up at 3 AM to get it.
