Noog Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 And on a completely different note (but is still relevant to an earlier topic), has anyone ever had those "Woo! Hot Chocolate! *sips* Ow! It's hot!" moments? :D You have no idea how many times I gulped it down, almost "chugging it", and thought I physically burned my throat :O Quote
Wembly Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I don't know. It feels like the beginning of Strep Throat. :( Yep, I've had it so many times I can actually feel when it is coming on. That's kinda sad. :P :worried: I did not give it to you. I swear. But yeah, I had the same feeling so I went to the doctor on monday and yep, have strep. He gave me medicine but I don't think it's working because I'm still not feeling well. And I'm actually not really a hot chocolate fan. Something about liquid chocolate that you drink kind of is not appetizing to me. Quote

Wembly Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Yeah, I can't really do milk because of my stomach but I'm almost tempted to try hot chocolate again... Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 it's pretty close to that, CAV my mom has cancer and my dad owns a small buisness that is making less than 500 dollars a day, life can not get any better [/sarcastic] Considering the fact that NOBODY said anything to Tyler, this made me come back one last time. I'm very sorry Tyler. I hope the best for your parents, and yourself. But Will is right. $500 a day isn't bad, especially if it's a small company. Quote
Noog Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 CAV, what do you mean by come back one last time? You never left. And to prove this point, I'm expecting a response to this post. Quote

This post just screams "I WANT a response. I DEMAND a response." So I'll give you one so all can be silent and left alone. The answer is, yes, I'm leaving. But things keep happening, and people keep begging me to stay. *glares at Ryan* And even still, there was no excuse to say nothing to Tyler. He's going through a tough time. Quote

It's hot!" moments? :DYou have no idea how many times I gulped it down, almost "chugging it", and thought I physically burned my throat :O I've burned my tongue pretty badly on hot chocolate. I couldn't taste for the rest of the day. Yeah, I can't really do milk because of my stomach but I'm almost tempted to try hot chocolate again... You should try it. And if you still don't like it, you can blame me for encouraging you to taste it again. When it's not scalding hot, I find hot chocolate to be incredibly soothing. I practically live on the stuff whenever something goes wrong or I'm stressed out. Quote

He gave me medicine but I don't think it's working because I'm still not feeling well. What kind of medicine did he give you? I mean, antibiotics should do the trick pretty easily... Maybe you just need to give it some time to kick in? I've burned my tongue pretty badly on hot chocolate. I couldn't taste for the rest of the day. Ah, I hate when that happens. And it makes your tongue feel funny all day. Quote
Wembly Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I got a Z pack but I think part of the problem may have been I probably have some other cold/flu type thing in addition to the strep throat, boo, but yeah, maybe a little more time will help. Quote

Stop telling us that you're leaving if you aren't leaving. Noog, would you care to check your PMs? If only you weren't a mod, then I'd be able to say something without fear of ban... I'm staying, but only because Ryan and the rest of HAMS begged for me to stay. So I'm staying for my friends and HAMS only. Not for IC. Not for anything or anyone else. Quote
livvy Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 @CAV: Sometimes it's better not to say anything. Sometimes it's best to sympathize silently. And it's not that we necessarily don't care about Tyler, but we didn't want the board to turn to negativity again. Also, might I mention, that Will did respond to Tyler. *points at post directly under Tyler's* @Wembly: Antibiotics should work fine on strep; it's actually a bacteria, not a virus... you may just be feeling the residual effects of it. I've had strep hurt a while longer than I actually had strep. Or, as Will suggested, it may just not have kicked in yet. Hope you feel better. EDIT: Kinda ninja'd. Multi-sick? =\ That sucks. Quote

And that thing died a long time ago. Quote

Unstream Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Saying sorry isn't going to help. I was wondering how bad the cancer was. If she was terminal, then I'd be sorry. If it's benign, then it's really not a big deal. Well I hope you get better soon Wembly. Unfortunately I don't think there's much doctors can do in terms of viral diseases. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Bring it to the PM then, fine. All the better for the both of us. My thoughts exactly. Now I can say things I've been wanting to say for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.... Quote
Noog Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Don't bring anything outside of the PM CAV. I'm being serious. You could have just left it at that. Strangely, I just realized that I haven't been to the doctor since I had swine flu almost a year ago now :woot: Yay immune system. Quote
livvy Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I don't have much of an immune system. I blame homework and lack of sleep. Quote
Unstream Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I normally don't go to the doctor if I'm sick or anything. If I have the flu or strep or whatever, I just try to tough it out. Saves money that way :P Quote
livvy Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 As an only child of a single parent, I don't have that option. Mum whisks me off to the doctor's if I so much as complain about an earache. :P Quote

livvy Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Congrats for you then! I've actually been pretty okay this summer. (Strengthening my homework and lack of sleep argument. :P ) I got sick a whole lot last school year though. Quote
Divya Bean Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I havent been to the doctor since I had my 5th sprained ankle... :rolleyes_anim: Quote
Wembly Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Sheesh, five? Hopefully you play a sport or something because if you sprained your ankle 5 times just from walking or something that would be kind of sad. Quote
