Earphones. They're louder, and they have a much better bass than headphones.

I agree with Morgan and CAV, earphones are way to go. Headphones always seem to get caught on my hair and rip a chunk of it out x_x

Earphone mostly because they are smaller and more easily carried in a pocket but also the whole not ripping out of hair thing is a plus also.

I actually kind of like headphones because they seem to be more stable. Earphones are a bit less painful (with the whole hair-pulling) but my hair is so long I've grown basically immune to pain from pulling it.

Headphones ftw. The way that they cup your ears makes unbelievable surround sound out of the stereo :) They also block out sound for a cheaper price than sound blocking earphones.

On headphones vs. earphones, I like the head phones that are light, but clip on your ear. Earphones start hurting my ears.

Same here, maybe it's just because I'm a small person, but earphones either don't fit my ear at all or fit painfully. Low-quality headphones are fairly universal in fitting badly. =P And high-quality headphones, while more expensive, work well and feel better.

I have a set, that clip over the ear, then have the band that goes across the back of the head. I love those. But they don't travel well. So they stay in my desk drawer for home use. I take the earbuds in my purse, for my iPod.

They're Sony headphones. I don't remember where I got them, but I got them years ago. They are really comfy.

I had a couple like that in high school before the digital media crazy and as soon as I got my iPod and I was suddenly carrying 3000 songs in the size of a deck of cards, smaller headphones just seemed like a must.

Exactly! The only issue I have, is my headphone cords get tangled. My retractable headphones got eaten by my sister's evil, evil dog.

Having 10 feet of cable on my headphones makes for quite a lot of tangles. But it's worth it for the sound I get out of it.

I destroyed 14 pairs, and now have 3 working pairs.

I went through a couple sets of headphones, just from my sister's dog eating them. But she seemed to find cell phones, phone chargers, hard cover books, keychains, etc tasty. <_<
