Whoa, so I went on my desktop computer for a little bit, and after using this laptop for such a long time, everything seems so big o_O

My laptop is widescreen, so all of the posts don't look as long as they did on the desktop :P

Hey guys, this is somewhat serious. Me and my bud own this website, Mario World. (link in siggy) and we are going to shut it down because we have hardly any members, so please sign up! My laptop has a much smaller (bigger?) resolution than mum's, so everything looks much smaller on here than it does on mum's laptop. So whenever I switch to hers, I get annoyed at how big things are. And when I switch back, I get annoyed at having to squint at the screen. xP

I like fonts and such small. I always kept my fonts around 10pt on IM. It drove my friends crazy.

Well Livvy, my resolution is 1600 x 900 but my mum's desktop is somewhere along the lines of 640 x 400 :P

 

I like big fonts, but I don't mind small ones.

I don't know why big fonts bug me so much. I used to have friends that used them. I'd tease them, telling them I could sit across the room, and still be able to read it.

Big fonts make me think of volume, and I don't really like loud people. I mean chronically loud people. Especially because they tend to talk a lot.

 

Small fonts don't make me think of quiet people though. They just make me think "Gah, I've gotta move closer to the screen..."

I know what you mean. Or talking in all caps. (I'm glad no one here does that.) I like every nice and neat. And small.

Kind of a throwback to last night, but I just realized that Comic Sans is about the only font in which talking in all caps makes you look LESS serious. :P

I've always liked Comic Sans. Vista used to have this font I really loved, I forget what it was called though.

Walt Disney Script is cool. I just don't actually have a place to use it yet. XD

I used to have a bunch of cool fonts. But I never had a use for them, as I don't make graphics that require them.

Next time the AC rolls around I'm going to attempt to make some graphics :P Hopefully they won't be too bad.

I've never gotten into it. My best friend is amazing with it though. She made the avatar I'm using now, from a picture of my sister's cat. She's made a bunch for me. From pictures I took at concerts, stuff I found. She made me a bunch of M&M ones.

 

I wish I had that kind of talent.

Well, not to offend that person, but that avatar you have isn't TOO hard to make. All it takes is a decent graphics program, knowledge of how the tools within it work, and some free time :)

Well, it's not about the difficulty of it, but the quality. I like her coloring and texturing. I rarely see ones that are the look I like.

Yeah, I like the...err...roughness(?)...of the text.

 

In my opinion, inserting text can be one of the hardest parts, because it's easy to just insert text, but the right texture/blend always looks amazing.

I've never tried, but I always assumed it could be quite difficult, seeing lots over the years, that looked very... just tossed together. I also when the graphic totally matches. The font, coloring, texturing, all matches the contents of the picture.
