-Ryan Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Yes Noog. They can mess with the shop layout coding and add one to the image link of the item. Neomails would've been funny overkill. :P Quote
Rising Star Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Would you want them to make your neopets experience worse in order to protect the site? It isn't always that they don't know that it's going on. (RSing was a lot easier whenever they didn't have that click-the-picture thing) A CG can be an item in a shop? But it would be worse either way. Think of if you go CGed, and lost all the items/pets and stuff, and you worked real hard for it. Wouldn't this make your neopets experience worse? And yeah, they can be. That's what happened to me, and a codestone. Quote
Noog Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 They got you hook, line, and sinker on that one. XD Try not to be too eager for a while when shopping. Quote
Theresa2 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Omg never heard of any of this stuff that has been goin on in neo right now I only get on to chat with frends and play a few games and my petpet labs and I am kind of glad I dont buy stuff and look on other peoples accounts or clicks on links and now that I seen all the been going one I dont think I will for quite some time now its so sad. Rising Star Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 They got you hook, line, and sinker on that one. XD Try not to be too eager for a while when shopping. Yeah I know :/ But atleast I learned my lesson. Quote
:)Doc Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Now y'all got me scared to buy stuff on Neopets :guiltysmiley: Quote
Noog Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Seriously guys don't be scared. Just be safe with your decisions. Quote
Rising Star Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Seriously guys don't be scared. Just be safe with your decisions. I agree with Link. I wasn't trying to get everyone to be scared, just caution. Before you buy an item, you can check out the sellers user look up. If it looks like a newbie, then don't buy from them. Quote
-Ryan Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Exactly what Noog said, be safe not scared. Quote
Divya Bean Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 "Safe not scared" sounds like some motto for driving! :laughingsmiley: Quote
Noog Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Sounds like the opposite of our Drivers Ed class :P Our instructors showed us a whole bunch of gory accidents (chopped off heads, bodies split, motorcyclist thrown into a 6 axle truck, etc.) and autopsies for drunk drivers. Quote
Divya Bean Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Now THAT sounds like my health class! They show us people who are high and drunk. We are all like, "You guys are going to get us depressed so we go and do drugs!" Quote
Noog Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 lol. Our health books told us all of the names that they used on the streets for every commonly used illegal drug. It was almost like they are teaching us how to get it instead. XD Quote
-Ryan Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Lulz, our health class showed us a bunch of people on meth. Ew. o.x Lulz @ Noogs health class. xD Quote
Divya Bean Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Haha! They teach us that kids get Xanax through parents closets and stuff so they ARE telling us how to get it! Quote
Booimaninja Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 CG's are back? D: I thought they always existed. Quote
-Ryan Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Well yes, they've always been there but they died down and I think they found a way around TNTs last patch. Quote
Booimaninja Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Ohh, how did it die down? Just because less hackers/scammers or because they actually got caught? Quote
-Ryan Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I heard TNT patched it the last time. I'm not sure though, I heard that from the boards and we all know how reliable that is... Quote
Noog Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 It was probably because they couldn't figure out how to get through the new programming, and now they do. Just don't buy expensive stuff in user shops for 1 neopoint. Quote
Booimaninja Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Are these for shops only? Or can trades be CG'd too? Random question: How many accounts have you lost due to Cookie Grabbers? Noog Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I have friends that lost their accounts due to cookie grabbers. One of them had a BD pet with stats over 500. Quote
Booimaninja Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Wow, did the person join again or just give up completely? Quote
Noog Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 They have a new account, but they're not trying to get anything on the new one. They were really rich and had millions invested in stocks, so it would take years just to even start on what was deleted. Quote
Booimaninja Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I've been CG'd before and I lost about four accounts. I really don't know how I could fall for a scam like that so often but I would assume that the item's price was a typographical error so I would buy it :/ Like something was really worth 100k and they put 10k, I would buy it.
