Divya Bean Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 On the topic of phobias: Anthrophobia is the fear of flowers. GAH! Flower! SAVE ME!!!! :laughingsmiley: On the topic of hotel pools: They are the nicest pools ever because they are usually taken care of the most. Especially if it is in an expensive hotel. Quote
Spritzie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I can't even remember the last time I went swimming. (Not counting at the beach. And that wasn't really swimming.) On 2 cruises, I didn't even get my swimsuit out at either one. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Divya Bean Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Haha Spritzie. On my cruise, I hated the pool because it was SALT water instead of CHLORINE water! Yuck! And, I won a Snorkle Snout from the Wishing Well!! Yay! For anyone who wants to know, I donated 50 np a day. Quote
Anisha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Salt water? :laughingsmiley: I know how that feels. And congrats!! ^_^ I am still waiting for the wishing well ... *taps foot impatiently* Quote
Luciana Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Congrats, Divya! How long did it take you? I'm trying to get a Snorkle Snout from the Wishing Well, too. Quote
Divya Bean Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 The water was sooo salty and it got into my eyes and EVERYWHERE!!! It was supposed to be good for your skin or something, but I hated it. You will get something, Anisha! You definitely will! Hmmmm..I think it took me only about 2-3 weeks. Not bad, eh? Quote
Anisha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 The water was sooo salty and it got into my eyes and EVERYWHERE!!! It was supposed to be good for your skin or something, but I hated it. You will get something, Anisha! You definitely will! Ew, I can imagine. I mistakenly drank salty sea water. I was like, "Ew!! This tastes like sea food!!" :laughingsmiley: I definitely will. This is my 2nd week!! ^_^ Quote
Luciana Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 urgh. That sounds awful. I've swallowed sea water before. terrible. <_< 2-3 weeks is really good! You saved a ton of neopoints! :0 Quote
Anisha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I live near sea beaches, and I go there like every weekend. You can imagine, how many I have done that. It is an awesome way to keep the bank balance high. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Spritzie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I prefer going to the beach. (I've only been a couple times in my life.) But I don't like swimming. I'd rather walk near the shore, where it's about up to my knees. In Mexico/Cali last year, the water was too cold. Especially in Long Beach. It was freezing. Where as the water in the Bahamas in 08 was nice. I'm still trying for a Snorkle Snout. I've been doing it for probably 3+ weeks now, and nothing. But I know I'll get something eventually. Quote
Theresa2 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Spritzie Iam the same why I love the beacth but dont like going in the water too and I go to the one in Ocean city or Wildwood are the closes one too me Quote
Spritzie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Spritzie Iam the same why I love the beacth but dont like going in the water too and I go to the one in Ocean city or Wildwood are the closes one too me I live in Colorado, so I don't have a lot of chances to go to the beach. I've only been like, 4 times. Once in Cali when I was 6. Then the Bahamas in 08, Long Beach and Cabo San Lucas in 09, then last summer, some gulf coast beach in Florida. That's it. Quote
Anisha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Wow. :O I go to beach like twice in a week, and I am pretty bored of it. But the sound of waves splashing, is so amazing. -_- Quote
livvy Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 *spies Will, but says nothing* Ugh, saltwater. I was swimming at the beach once, and my friends and I were playing in the waves. It was fun until I got to where my feet didn't quite reach the bottom and a big wave came, tumbling me over a bunch of times underwater. I swallowed so much saltwater I made myself sick. :sick01: But hotel pools are great! I used to have my birthday in hotels so I could go swimming. You can't really go to normal pools for January birthdays. Quote
Spritzie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I went out too far in Cali, when I was 6. A big wave (big wave being relative to a 6 year old) hit and took me under. My dad ruined his watch grabbing me. :laughingsmiley: I'm just not a big swimming fan anymore. I loved it when I was younger. I took swimming lessons every year when I was a kid, until I advanced to the highest group possible. But now... it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Actually, I do remember the last time I went swimming. It was just over a year ago, during my honeymoon. But the pool water ended up being too cold, so we just stayed in the hot tub. Quote
Divya Bean Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I go to the beach for boogy boarding or however you spell it. I am da best at boogy boarding!!!! I just noticed that we have gotten to the topic of swimming about 5 times! Wow. Quote
Anisha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Yeah, bodyboarding is awesome. :laughingsmiley: I am not much good at it though. And yes, swimming pool topic, not again. Ahem, Divya, change the topic! :laughingsmiley: Quote
Divya Bean Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I love it! I go out as far as I can...it makes me feel dangerous!! :laughingsmiley: And hmmmm...lets see. Change of topic, change of topic. I got nothing. Any ideas? Quote
livvy Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Yes, no more swimming subjects. It's storming (AGAIN), so no swimming here. :( Quote
Spritzie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I wish it was storming. It's hot and miserable here. Same as yesterday, except we did get hit with a thunderstorm yesterday evening, which cooled things off. Quote
Divya Bean Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Same here. Its burning. And our Air Conditioning isnt working. Gah. I am dying. Quote
Spritzie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I'm actually cold. Our work room is always cold. Where as, the other team's room is always hot. I need to get my hoodie. Quote
Anisha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 It's raining here. Yay Goa! :laughingsmiley: India is having Monsoon, I think. So rain, rain, rain ... all the day. Quite boring actually. Quote
Spritzie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 We've had a fairly dry Spring/summer. Last year we had a lot more spring and summer thunderstorms. Quote
Divya Bean Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Lucky! I would love some rain. Waittt....it started raining! What a coinkydinky! And I just used my Snorkle Snout for the avvie. ^_^ Quote
