Spritzie Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 No freaking way. That is absolutely fantastic and I never new that either. Now I'm going to go look. :woot: :laughingsmiley: I know! My husband was saying how much he thought he was such a great actor (In the Princess Bride) and how he couldn't believe he was never in anything else. Then as the credits were rolling, it showed his pic and name. (Mandy Pa... something) I recognized it from when Gideon left CM, so I looked it up, and sure enough... It's insane. Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Wow, that is fantastic. That just made my night. I would never have put that together. Fantastic. It even made up for the fact that I just noticed that I typed 'new' instead of 'knew' which made me want to scratch my eyes out because of the pain of ridiculous grammar. Quote
Spritzie Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 It is totally awesome. I'm trying to get my hands on the Season 1 DVD for Criminal Minds, because he never saw it while Gideon was on it. He was only on for seasons 1 and 2. He started watching with me, this current season. I was sad when Gideon left. He was so good on the show. I'm not too fond of the new guy. (I know what you mean. I'm just glad we can edit our posts. I have the OCD thing going on. I must correct any error I see in my posts.) Quote
Domino Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 New guy...Hotchner? I don't think he's too bad. Oh. Rossi? I'm not either... Quote
Spritzie Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Hotchner will forever be Greg to me. I miss his slightly goofy, serious from Darma and Greg. No I really like him. Rossi. He's just not right for it. He doesn't fit in. At least I don't think he does. Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Yeah, I've only gotten into this year but the reruns are on A&E so I've only seen what they've decided to run since I'm at church when the new episodes are on I will have to see them some day, sigh. I really liked gideon. I wasn't thrilled about rossi in the first episodes but now I don't mind him as much. I would however, someday like to see the episodes on DVD so I can finally watch them in order... Quote
Domino Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Rossi....is alright. Not my favorite for sure...but alright. Reid is my favorite. He's adorable. :D Quote
Spritzie Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I started watching towards the middle of the season that Gideon left. I had a friend in Austrailia tell me to start watching it. And I loved it. When I went on the cruise last year, there was this couple I was talking to waiting for a concert to start... the husband looked sooo much like Rossi. It was crazy. I actually ended up with a picture of him, and everyone I've showed it to agrees. (My dad was across the ship with the camera, while I was talking to them.) Reid is alright. But Hotchner is still my favorite. Oh, and Garcia. She's awesome. I've had a few people tell me my blonde hair was boring and I needed to put in pink highlights. I was like... Ummm been watching CM much? Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Haha, I love stealthy camera shot. Also, I love Reid too, amazing! Quote
Domino Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I love Garcia. She's adorable. And a genius too...Some of the things they do scare me...like how easily they hack into stuff... Quote
Spritzie Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 His camera had a crazy zoom. We'd be so far back, you couldn't see his facial expression easily. But in the pictures, you could see the time on John Mayer's analog watch. :laughingsmiley: She's so much fun though! Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I love the dialogue they have Garcia say. Sometimes I wish I had enough guts to say stuff that like "office of supreme genius" Quote
Anisha Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I'll add to what Divya said. It's about 2 brothers. The older, is an FBI agent. The younger is a math professior. He was always a super brain. (Went to college very young, etc.) Since the younger was always the brain and all that, there was a lot of tension between the two. But then the math dude, figures out he can help his brother solve a crime at the FBI. Next thing you know, he's a consult for the FBI with all sorts of security clearences. And that whole show it about using math to solve crimes of all types. And through-out, you see the relationship between the brothers improve and change over time. Sounds good. :laughingsmiley: It would be fun to be a detective. And I have made my mind. I am going to tell my uncle (Who is in charge a big DVD store) to order Numb3rs DVD for me. Because I don't think it's already in the shop. I have to order one, I guess. I've never actually seen all of the LOTR movies...I read the Hobbit, but that was about it. Those are other movies on my must watch list. And as harry potter goes, the 1st, 4th, and 6th are my favorites. LOTR was okay, if you ask me. It wasn't actually boring. Pretty entertaining, I can say. But I never read the books. As I have seen the whole movie and know all of the story. So, reading the book would be quite pointless. But I have to say, it was a long movie. Took me forever to watch. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 You know what I was thinking about today that I was just reminded by the word detective? The word gumshoe. It should be used more often; I feel as if I may use it more often. Quote
Anisha Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 You know what I was thinking about today that I was just reminded by the word detective? The word gumshoe. Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 It may have been used in a show, but its just a normal word found in the dictionary (meaning detective). They used the word gumshoe in the theme song for the cartoon Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, a cartoon from the 90s but I'm guessing that's probably not where's you've heard it before. Quote
Anisha Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Oh! Now I remember. I heard it from a DS game, Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney. The Detective's name was Gumshoe ... weird. And yeah I know Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers. :laughingsmiley: I have seen some of the episodes too. Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Haha,, sweet. Not many people seem to remember that cartoon. Quote
Anisha Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I even sort of remember the theme song. Not the lyrics, but the rhythm. It was a cute cartoon. It still shows here, in India, i.e, on weekends. Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Wow, thats cool. It hasn't been on tv here for like 10 years. Well maybe on the classic cartoon channel that you pay extra for but since I feel most people don't have that, I feel just in my previous comment. Quote
Anisha Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 It shows in our National Channel. 5 pm, every weekend. But at weekends most of the time I am busy, hanging wit friends or families. The repeat episodes are at midnight, somewhat near 1 am to 2 am. I watch it sometimes, when I am in mood, because midnight is my favorite online timing. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Wembly Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Haha, midnight is a good internet time although it is officially 3am here and it is most certainly time for me to sleep. Quote
Anisha Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I am NST +13. So, NST midnight means 1 pm over here according to Indian Standard Time (IST). Quote
Spritzie Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Sounds good. :laughingsmiley: It would be fun to be a detective. And I have made my mind. I am going to tell my uncle (Who is in charge a big DVD store) to order Numb3rs DVD for me. Because I don't think it's already in the shop. I have to order one, I guess. Completely worth it. I have seasons 1-4 I think. When my dad was in Alaska for a month a few years ago, my mom and I would sit and watch them in the evening. My husband didn't watch it a lot, so we've been watching it some. I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. It's my favorite show EVER. You know what I was thinking about today that I was just reminded by the word detective? The word gumshoe. It should be used more often; I feel as if I may use it more often. Gumshoe. How did they come up with it? They were too busy being sneaky, and didn't see the gum? Okay... that was pathetic... I know. I couldn't help it. :laughingsmiley: It may have been used in a show, but its just a normal word found in the dictionary (meaning detective). They used the word gumshoe in the theme song for the cartoon Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, a cartoon from the 90s but I'm guessing that's probably not where's you've heard it before. I loved Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers!! That was such an awesome show. All those awesome cartoons of the 90s. (And 80s, like Rainbow Brite, where Spritzie comes from. Or Care Bears) But there were so many fun ones. Tail Spin, Duck Tails... Quote
Divya Bean Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Hahahaha I dont really watch any old shows except for Full House. The little Olsen twins are soooooooo cute! :wub_anim: I hate them now though, as teenagers or however old they are. All they do is drugs, like every other celebrity. :sad02: Quote
