My husband's parents are from Goa. When I tell people that here in my hometown (in Tennessee), they're like "Where?!" So it's nice to see someone else that has heard of it! :)

 

They speak uhhh something they call "Conkney" or something like that...and English, and Portuguese.

 

Edit: "Konkani" that's it! Sorry for murdering the name of the language! :*

Yup! You got it right! We speak Konkani here. I know a little about it. Does you husband knows it?

Goa is a pretty good place. But my hometown in Delhi though. And yeah, some Portuguese are here too. Most of the Goa is full of Non-Indians. I have told this a couple of times. :laughingsmiley:

Um first... Harry Potter is very... well as unawesome as you can get. And two, Hewlitt Packard is quite awesome.

 

It certainly isn't. Well, your opinion is yours, but everybody knows that Harry Potter is a HECK of a lot better than Twilight :sick01:

 

And I guess I'll go to Maraqua. I feel bad though cause almost EVERYONE on TDN is going to Maraqua as well. Oh well.

Yup! All the Neopians go total crazy about AC. It's one of my favorite Neopets moments. And the games are quite fun too. Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, Slushie Slinger, Shootout Showdown. I remember them all.

No more Numb3rs?!?!?! :crying: I love that show!!!! Why are they cancelling it?! Arghhh! That is the one show that me and my parents BOTH like!

 

I know. :( I'm so upset. My husband and I love it. My mom loved it. My best friend loves it.

 

I have never watched Numb3rs. And looks like you guys seem to like it a lot. Is it any good? What type of show is it?

 

I'll add to what Divya said. It's about 2 brothers. The older, is an FBI agent. The younger is a math professior. He was always a super brain. (Went to college very young, etc.) Since the younger was always the brain and all that, there was a lot of tension between the two. But then the math dude, figures out he can help his brother solve a crime at the FBI. Next thing you know, he's a consult for the FBI with all sorts of security clearences. And that whole show it about using math to solve crimes of all types. And through-out, you see the relationship between the brothers improve and change over time.

Me too. I love Criminal Minds. It's really good. I just found out a couple weeks ago, that the actor that played Gideon, was the Spanish guy in the Princess Bride from 1987. :laughingsmiley:

I haven't seen that movie...but that sounds weird. Did you know that Matthew Gray Gubler, the guy who plays Reid, used to be a male model?! I know right? Weirddd. :laughingsmiley:

The Princess Bride was such a cute movie. I loved it. You should check it out. That actor was the best one in the movie.

I know....I have a bunch of movies that I've been meaning to watch...of course, I haven't watched any of them. :D I forget all of them when I actually have time to watch movies.

I get restless watching movies a lot. Last night, we tried to watch The DaVinci Code. I finally had to shut it off. I was just too restless to stay still.

I haven't seen the Da Vinci code...I did see Angels and Demons...it was a bit dissappointing. Haha. One time my friends and I tried to sit through three movies in a row in a movie theater. We only made it through one. I was too figdety. :D

I'm not a big movie person. I prefer tv shows. That's why it's best for us to watch tv seasons on DVD. I can sit still for 45 minutes no matter how restless I am.

I'm really not a movie person either. BUT. I have managed to have a harry potter marathon, with three of my other crazy friends. It took 14 hours. We're planning another one. :D

We're going to be watching LOTR soon. I've never been interested, but he wants me to see them. After we watch them all, then I'll read the books.

I've never actually seen all of the LOTR movies...I read the Hobbit, but that was about it. Those are other movies on my must watch list. And as harry potter goes, the 1st, 4th, and 6th are my favorites.

My all time favorite is 2012. The Ocean's movies are a couple of my favorites. (11 and 13) The Italian Job. Erin Brockovich. Stuff like those. I'm really looking forward to The Brazilian Job. (The Italian Job's sequel. It's supposed to come out this year.)

Ooh. I love the Oceans movies...but I haven't really seen any of those other ones...I watched the end of the Bourne Ultimatum a few days ago...that seemed good.

We finally watch the Bourne Ultimatum a couple weeks ago. I saw the first two a few years ago, and went and bought the DVDs. Then I bought the Ultimatum DVD, but never watched it. It was very good. I enjoyed it.

 

If you like disaster movies (Disaster movies are my favorites.) you'd love 2012. It was amazing. The effects were gorgeous.

I haven't really seen any disaster movies...although I did see...oh. The nicholas cage (I think?) one...with the aliens? I don't remember what it was called. It wasn't very good though.

Was that.... Knowing? I thought that was okay. My favorite disaster movies are 2012, Poseidon, 10.5 and 10.5 Apocalyspe. (TV mini-series), Category 6 Day of Destruction and Category 7 something. (TV mini-series) And The Day After Tomorrow. I love that stuff.

 

I love disaster books too. I'm a geek for that stuff, weather and everything. I think I have at least a dozen weather books at home, not counting the dozen for so from the library.
