Nenova Posted April 10, 2011 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hi there! I made a mistake in a Neomail and mentioned something... bad... Anyway, now I have been silenced permanently. What are my options? I sent in a ticket explaining my situation, but I was wondering if there is anything else I can do to make the silence into, say, a year or a month or something. I'm not so happy with being silenced permanently because I can't Neomail or read Boards or anything. I know it was my own mistake but I didn't think it would be THIS bad. I'm not sure there is anything you can do other that what you've done, which is send in a question about it. You can use a side account just to mail and talk on the boards though! Kinda like being frozen and making new accounts. That was what I was thinking anyway. You think it helps that my accoutn is about 10 years old without previous warnings or repercussions? I would say 10 years without a warning would be a helpful factor... but if a permanent silence was given from the start, whatever you said must have really horrified the monitor D: Usually they start with temporary silences (like suspensions before a freezing). I tend to do most of my correspondence by talking to the people here, or by referring people to make an account here so I can PM them with more freedom. Having such an old account, with no warnings or anything before that might not make a difference when you get a warning like THAT. But I wish you the best of luck. Now I can't doublecheck which ones I have and not have o.o This must be the worst part of the whole thing, haha! Anyway, I decided to make a second account and use that for boards/neomail. If they decide to leave my permanent silence intact, I can send in new tickets every month or so and show them what a good user I am on my second account, hehe. It is so easy to say or write something that is harmless to the ones involved and yet can be misconstrued by the powers that be... Keep sending in tickets with your account history and maybe even ask your neofriend whom you were neomailing to send in a note explaining that the remark was meant to be taken as a joke... No warning, no nothing, and they wouldn't undo it, even though I'd had no issues before :/ It sucked, because I'd spent a lot of NC on that account too. I thought it was more like forums, with the Boards heavily moderated and the Neomail only if it gets reported... My friends ticket got replied with something along the lines of 'you can't get info on someone else's account and we don't consider your input. If the person in question has a problem they can contact us themselves.' And my ticket got answered with (I chopped out the copy of my message): Thank you for writing.
