Im still in college at the moment studying my final year of Painting and Decorating (More specialist painting now (marbling, figure oaking etc)). After that I have loads of options to choose:

-Going to uni and doing a teaching degree (what I probs do in 10-20 years when im old)

-Standard Painting and Decorating (owning my own business etc)

-Going into film/tv and designing and building the sets.

Im the type of person who can't stand a desk job, I prefer to be out and about than being stuck in the same building, in the same room, in the same chair behind the same desk.

I'm a scientist! It sounds fancy when I say it like that but it's no big deal, I studied, worked for a year and I'm going back to study this year, apparently I like being a poor student.

I am currently a full-time university student, but I have been employed as:

- an arcade manager

- the assistant manager of a Goodwill store.

- an advertising/marketing person

- a CSS web designer person

- a lowly waitress.

- I had a job at a networking company for 2 weeks...I still have no idea what my job title was or what I was supposed to be doing.

- a photo developing technician at the Wal-Mart photo center (before digital cameras).

- a third-shift stock person.

- an on-air personality at a fairly large radio station.

Haha, there have been more jobs actually. I guess I get bored fairly easily, and I abhor authority.

Are you still working now?

I've never had a paying job, before... but I'm crazy amounts of excited, as a research laboratory at my university is offering me a position as a Weekend Nursery Tech. I'd be working with the young primates they study, bottle-feeding and weighing newborns, doing a bit of laundry, etc. :laughingsmiley:

Otherwise, I'm working as an undergraduate, hoping to apply to veterinary school in the next couple of years. ^_^

Currently, I don't work - so I try to live and make money in so many ways - from helping people - to doing odd end jobs, I also; help market for my friend's website.

So, what do you do for a living?

I am a retired chef and so I guess I do not work now although I still cook for family and friends but without the pressure

No, as I am a full-time university student. :) My husband is kind enough to let me focus on school full-time.

What are you majoring in then?

Bottle feeding newborn primates?!?!?! I'm so jealous. They would be so much fun to play with.

Honestly, I wouldn't have gotten the chance if I didn't know someone who already works there. I feel so lucky! I can't think of a better way to relax. :laughingsmiley: Plus, they focus only on observing how the infants learn, so all of the primates are treated well and have a good quality of life. I don't think my vegetarian soul could work in an animal testing laboratory, otherwise. ;)

I was wondering what they do with the primates. Watching them learn would be very cool, especially since they're so close biologically to humans. I hjope you enjoy it!

I'm currently a supervisor at a children's museum. Nothing too crazy. I do hope to have my own business someday though. Have also considered studying nursing. Can't make up my mind about that though..I'm not a huge fan of doing school, so it would take some serious motivation.
