Shadaw the Rampage Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 I dont see a point sense you just said it.
Mr. Sirius Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks everyone. I just got this plot step finished. Phew. 18 Achievements now.
shinystarters Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I dont see a point sense you just said it. still, since this is probably going to reach like 5 pages, i doubt people will be able to find my post that easily.
persephoniekali Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I found Cave Dwellings book when searching the floor in the caves.
Sakurabelle Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 For those of you who have gotten the achievements and are doing it again for freebies, a word of advice: Don't bother with flailing, shouting, or even moving from one room to another. Simply plant yourself and continuously search the floor. You will randomly get items without the chance of getting all of the items to make the torch. (If you get all of the torch items, there's the chance you will make it out before you want to leave...) :D
Balance Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Not a bad little mix of mapping and logic/elimination puzzle. I'm just glad the mapping wasn't Lost Desert Plot-levels of annoying, though trying to match it up between lit and dark states was a bit of a twist. Deeds achieved, no desire to run it again.
keithp Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I got all but the goo whisperer, had 4 out of 5 flawless.
SarafinaWolf7 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I got all but the goo whisperer, had 4 out of 5 flawless. Here's advice for getting the goo achievement. Do the puzzle twice. Use the first time that you rescue the pets to match each sentence to the action/limb (like others have said, it's different for everyone, but stays the same for you). You can also use your mistakes to rule out the wrong matches. Then do the whole thing again, using what you've found out to free the pets without getting goo on you. You can stop once you've got the achievement
SyrenSkywolf Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I wasted so much time on this dang step trying to get the goo whisperer because I read the steps wrong x.x I was trying to figure which order to do them in by prisoner, not by how the goo reacted. Got it now though -Sky
Secre Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I can't seem to find the final prisoner and I am hopelessly lost in the maze so I've resorted to random clicking and hoping... EDIT: 2 seconds after I made this post I've found him! Flukey luck not planning though...

EDIT: 2 seconds after I made this post I've found him! Flukey luck not planning though... That was what I disliked most about it. I hated it most when trying to actually find the exit afterwards -Sky
d.Lia Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I actually resorted to mapping the entire cave system just to find the exit! :(
Secre Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I actually resorted to mapping the entire cave system just to find the exit! :( I tried that but just got confused... EDIT: Now got all three achievements...
Rachany Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 AHH!! I got all three items, and I'm trying to get out. I feel claustrophobic. Also, did anyone get the The Goo Whisperer achievement? It seems HARD. *EDIT: SUCCESS! But I didn't get any items...
antiaircraft Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 The Goo Whisperer achievement isn't really tough - it just takes a little trial-and-error, and then it's simple enough to get it on your second try. If you're really lucky, you might even get it on your first. I actually resorted to mapping the entire cave system just to find the exit! :( Heh, I'm glad I'm not the only person who mapped out the caves. :P It was really annoying to have different descriptions for each end of the tunnels though, and to have to relabel the tunnel entrances after getting the lamp. Still, it was quite fun, and I'm sorry that I don't have the time to go back and finish the map. xD All in all, I have to say that TNT did a really good job on this step.
Sakeru_Kyori Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 This is freaking irritating!! I don't understand how to pair up the wavering, vibrate, ripple etc. with the limbs. I can't do this.
Spritzie Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 This is freaking irritating!! I don't understand how to pair up the wavering, vibrate, ripple etc. with the limbs. I can't do this. I'll try to help. You see what it says the Goo is doing under the pet. Note what it is, then try clicking a limb. If you get the restart message, that limb doesn't match the action of the goo. If it worked, make a note what limb worked with that action. Then note the next action, and pick a different limb. If you get the restart message, pick another one. And repeat that until you have notes of what limbs work for each action. Then when you're going for the achievement, when it says an action, you click the limb that you've noted matches it.

RayHumbert Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I'm lost in the cave now @_@ I wished I had mapped the entire cave from the start.
d.Lia Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 You could start mapping now. I started mapping only after tons of turns in the cave with Charlie (the only one left) following me. Poor Charlie. :( You'll eventually find the exit. Mapping will help you see where you've already been to. :D
jmccbh Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I was really lucky and got the goo achievement on the first try. I figured out all the movements with the first two neopets by luck then continued it through with the other three. But I kept ending up back at the beginning while searching for them :P I'm running it a second time because I missed the yelling one (which I just got), and for freebies cause I only got a flaming rock the first time. This was definitely very well designed. Irritating at times, but it is mappable rather than just random doors leading random places. I liked it. I just wish it had taken more time. I got it on my own without looking at the guide within 30 minutes. On a side note, the comic was cute. I liked that Hanso went back for Brynn :)

I usually got out fairly quickly.
jmccbh Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I didn't realize you could map it. I've just been stumbling around. I usually got out fairly quickly. Well AA mapped it so I assume that it is possible. Plus as I was stumbling through I found some common paths. I'm pretty sure it isn't random, but it's perfectly do-able without mapping it all out.
