Last night I went to bed with high spirits only to wake up in rude shock to find my 6.5 years main with easily over 10m worth of pure + assets hacked. Yes, hacked, not scammed or keylogged or whatever. At first I was like ok, and thought TNT finally took action or since I was helping jlsn with her account and immediately I thought it was the same person. However, that person nmed jlsn saying that he'll give her back her account and not touch neo anymore... But what really drove me off the precipice was that I found my main pet, meiavandread, was POUNDED and someone else got her. I nmed the person and thought he would be willing to give her back seeing I posted a ton of proof on celticheavens' petpage (he didn't touch 2 of my sides...) only to have him say no and only if I can offer a REALLY good/godly pet. -.-;;.

 

It's not the account I'm upset over but rather the fact he pounded my FAVOURITE and DEAREST pet to me. I'm willing to give up my mara uni, faerie xwee and ty peo if needed just to get her back. She has a BC trophy which I worked like hell over and a mootix. T_T;;. I'm not so much of mourning the loss of my account but more of my pet meia. Sigh, maybe it's just me but I'd give the original owner back his or her pet if he or she lost it through a hacker. -.-;;

 

To clarify, I did not go to any suspicious pages or websites. I do not give out my password and or pin or account birthday. The person tried to get into my email but failed thank goodness. I have over 6 antivirus/anti spyware/firewall type of programs in my computer, of which some are paid for and after running a million scans, no infections etc turned up. I scanned using hijackthis and nothing too. So I guess it's safe to say that it was a hacker and not a keylogger.

 

Sigh, never thought this would happen to me. It's not like my account was wow or something... On the bright side, at least jlsn's account is now safe... I'm almost tempted to quit neo, seeing how now I feel a little liberated since I'm no longer a slave to painfully earning neopoints and getting dreamies.

Sounds like the person who got your pet was the person who got into your account, especially since they demanded a better pet in return. Nice little 'operation' that is. Hopefully you reported him and get your account back :)

If your pet was pounded, the user who caught him unfortunately doesn't have to give him back :( Asking for a better pet in return doesn't mean they are the person who got into your account - there are plenty of people on the Pound Chat who catch pets and then refuse to give them back, no matter the proof you have. As nice as it would be for them to accept the pet is yours and simply give him back, a large proportion of pound sitters won't.

 

I'm guessing you'll do this already, but send in all the frozen forms, etc. Explain that meiavandread is your pet and it is possible TNT might return him to you, I have seen them to that with other Charter's Krawks or UCs.

I'm stilled awed that even with proof, they STILL wanted you give them a godly pet? That's just heartless even if they're allowed to keep that pet under neopets rules.

 

It seemed you had everything totally safe...I don't know much about who all can access accounts on neopets, so a hacker it might be >.>

 

I really hope everything gets better for you! If you ever need anyone else to talk to or any help, I'm willing to do my best for you!

I did report and everything but TNT is so slow.. They didn't even reply my original report when jlsn's account was compromised; and since then I'd more or less solved it. Hopefully it's not an operation to get a better pet... I had my other pets listed on my main so if they wanted it, they'd have taken the xwee or mara uni as they go for a lot more..

 

Yea, sadly the other person doesn't have to give her back. If it's another faerie koi they want, I can get one for them, but I just want meia back. I'd rather she rot in my bro's account than with someone who just throws a 1k bg on her. The bgs I had on her were like nc or 200k+ at least along with a full petpage and a ton of fanart for her etc. I'm really hoping that TNT will return meia to me. She's the reason why I started neoing again (cause I wanted her entered in the bc to try) so @_@. Hopefully TNT is nice enough.

I don't know if this will be of any help, but you can offer my Zeliliana (my chomby) for Meiavandread. I would paint her darigan or royal if it helps at all at any chance to get her back for you!

 

Just reading your situation...just got me so sad and mad at the same time, like what if someone did that to my dearest pets...*hugs Beauty, Faith, Ivana, and Heaven* I wanna help and since chomby is a limited edition and I would paint her into something that maybe even he'll like, I would save her for you if he wants a "good" pet in exchange. Don't worry, I WANT to do this and I was serious when I said I would try at least something :crying:

I am so sorry :( that REALLY sucks. And I just think it's heartless that they won't give back your pet :sad01_anim: who does that?

 

However, don't expect too much from TNT. Something similar happened to me almost 2 months ago, but they would not give my account back.. I don't mean to crush your hope, but I'm just saying..

and yeah that happened to me too.. my friend pounded my pet that was on loan to him. i asked the person to give my pet back but they never even replied :( ugh some people are just mean :/

I did hear about people not giving pets back but I was just hoping perhaps that person would. But if not, it's just my loss I guess. Unlucky enough to fall prey. I already treat my account as lost, but I do wish to get it back intact as jlsn has several paintbrushes in my account for safe keeping, so I'd feel SO terrible if I lost my account and her paint brushes.

 

I'm almost tempted not to rebuild, but it's a waste since my side has a lab ray and all... I guess I should just be happy that I still have my mara uni and faerie xwee, although another gift pet, my ty peo is lost.

Aw man, that's really sad! I don't have any personal experience with this but I know many on this forum have, I'm sure they can help you out! All I can do is say I hope TNT listens to you so that you can get your main account back. You should be glad that the person who adopted your pet at least wasn't under 13... Because I've had that happen before.

That's why I said no worries at the end. Zeliliana was a pet I made incase someone REALLY wanted a chomby. I saved her so that she could have a new home and make someone happy. Your cute koi means more to you and I want you to at least have a chance to get her back if TNT won't do it. I don't mind one bit of doing this for you! You are a good friend and I would really do this for you ^^

 

I never had an idea on what to paint Darigan...but seeing that this is a 5 month old account, they might like a Darigan chomby or a Royal chomby since those brushes are easier to obtain for me (I sometimes have a hard time getting a pb)

 

EDIT: my fiance said to just have a bunch of people neomail him/her as a personal army...I just thouht I'd share that even thought that might be not allowed on neopets lolz.

I am so, sorry. I have some advice to get your pet back. It seems that person speaks Spanish, so use a translator, and if they're nice enough, they'll give it back.

I have limited spanish knowledge and have been using a translator etc but he just won't give her up. I'm almost tempted to use my own knowledge of computer programming to scare him -.-;;. But I shall not stoop to that level for some pixels. Thanks for the offer flyingeevee but I offered her a pirate chomby custom and that person rejected. -.-;;. So you should just keep your chomby and paint her dari! They look pretty. :). I guess Meia's lost too and that person is stupid enough to keep her as an active pet so I'll be laughing my way out of Neopets if she gets boochified (she almost did 2 times on my account).

 

But I'll probably be quitting since I just gave my mara uni to one of my good friends along with my faerie xwee. I guess jlsn was right; it teaches one not to spend so much time on mere pixels. I should just redo my graphics webbie again LOL. That poor website's been stagnanted since goodness-knows-when!

 

Oh and about nming the person, it's allowed as long as it's not harassment LOL. *innocent look* I'm just glad I met so many wonderful people on Neo amidst the unscrupulous and heartless bunch. Looks like there's still hope for humanity xD.

I'm really sorry to hear about your account. I had something similar happen to my main and had to rebuild and everything. It's no fun and definitely not fun to lose your pets. I really hope you get your account and your pet back! And I hope they catch the person who did all this. :( Good luck!
