I just have a quick question since I've never used it. When it removes items, does that mean they are no longer on your system? Or did it remove them from quarantine and they can still do damage or what? I had Ad-Aware do the recommended action...

Removing should refer to getting rid of items permanently - no sane security program would try and move something out of quarantine without you explicitly telling it to do so.

If it's asking you to put something into quarantine (which generally involves packaging it in a form where it can't do any more damage), then the program should also mention that specifically.

It said it was removed, so I was just wondering. It was just some tracking cookies.

Tracking cookies can't really be quarantined in the first place. :P They're just cookies used by advertisers anyway...

lol yeah I know. Now I have to figure out why my Firefox is liking to freeze a lot.

That sounds like a problem caused by a buggy extension or plugin. If that's the case, this page might help you to track down the problem.

If you've got Ad-Aware I would be careful if you've also got Spy-Bot Search and Destroy as they argue with each other and one of them will delete an essential part of the other if you allow it to...you can tell this happened to me!
