Starting all over

... Some of you may know that I lost my password to my Neo account.

 

After several weeks of waiting, I have decided that TNT aren't gonna give it back.

 

That means that I have decided to start all over.

 

I have to train. I have to gain avatars again. It's a long process, but I think I'll live.

 

This account is over 13, just so I can use the lost password box if I lose my password again.

My account name is to the side of this post. But if you can't see it, it's firstincommand.

 

So, what do you think? Is it a good decision? Should I quit Neo? I don't know.

I wouldn't want to quit Neo just yet, I have many more reviews left in me. :P

 

I shall post my progress in starting all over in this topic.

 

P.S.: If you think this is a post asking for donations... it's not. Donations are welcome, but not necessary. Only donate if you really want to. And I mean think about it first. :P

That's so brave of you.Being ready to start all over.

I don't think i could do it(starting over i mean).But it's fun in a way.Especially if you have some experience now,things should go a lot smoother like collecting avatars and making np.

I've started over, so I can feel your pain. But it can also bring more challenges along your way and since you are more knowledgeable about Neopets, it won't be that hard to rebuild... well I hope. Good luck anyway!

Congrats on your decision to start over. While it is horrible to lose all of your pets, trophies, items, neopoints, and progress, at least you have an "adult" account now. Some parts of your rebuilding will go quickly, but other things will seem like they take forever, like getting random avatars again.

 

I know you said that you're not asking for donations, but a wishlist would help those of us wanting to contribute. ;)

Personally I'd still hound TNT to get my old account back. If I were to lose this account I think I'd quit. I've just put so much time into it ... and ya I can earn back the np, but there are some avatars I cannot, and some trophies that would be too challenging..

Well I wish you the best of luck and I know how hard it is to start over I had to but I did keep hounding neo and I did get access to my old account, so don't give up. But yes are there any items you had on your old account that you really miss?

@Stephie: Eh... that account was nothing special. Sure, it had 5 site themes, a couple of site event trophies, but not many avatars at all. As for earning back the NP, it all went down the drain training so I had none. :P

I just recently started over after a hiatus. It's hard, but striving is really what the whole deal is about in my opinion so it wasn't any different from all the old challenges I used to face.

I've lost my account before and had the same decisions to make as yourself. I decided to start all over again. I think if neopets is something you enjoy then you should definitely start over again. Hopefully there is still hope that you'll get your account back, you never know. If not, good luck starting over and I'm sure it will be much easier for you this time. I know it's frustrating but it's still fun and addicting.

@Agnes: D: Aww! That's so sad that you had to start over after a hitaus. I know that feeling though, I've done it before a few years back, but thankfully didn't lose anything from the old accounts.

@Ashley (can I call you that? :P It has it on your profile): Aww. It's hard hearing how many people have had to start over. And for some reason, Neo is again addicting for me. I think it might be that I'm in a good guild now, but who knows?

Man, that's unlucky. :( I would never be able to start a new account. Well I MIGHT, but I would probably be screaming in agony. However, it would be easier to bring your account back to it's glory because you're not new when you create the account. :D Anyway, good luck.

I think starting over from scratch could be fun. I did it a couple times, and it's certainly a challenge, but it was kind of interesting feeling like a 'newbie' for a while.

Starting over is a truly in depth decision...and me, coming from the same situation, where i had to abandon the pets i lovd to the core, and all my hard earned money and collection, was something i had to steel my heart to do...

 

That said, starting over is always fun in a way, with all my experience as a veteren. it really gives me a perspective on what i truly want and how to go about doing it.

Wow, starting from scratch again is very difficult indeed. @_@ I'll be completely demoralised seeing the number of retired avvies I can't get XD. Also, since I am terrible at games, it's gonna be a while before I get the new account to the same level as my current one.. I did try that once, but I gave up, seeing how hard it was to just give up my pets and all >.<. But your situation's different so yeap ^^;;.

 

Good luck though! I'm sure you'll be able to make a better account out of this one since you are already familar with the game dynamics and all. As for cash, it just needs a little more work ;)

I came back after 5 years or so and couldn't remember password to my old account, so I had to rebuild, too. I started last year and since I wasn't a very active player, this new account is actually way better than the old account I made back in junior high! Hahaha. But I do miss my first pets terribly. I can see them, but I can't get them back... ;_;
