Last year was my first year being involved in the Altador Cup and I had no idea what team to join. Many base their team on who will win it all. I don't really have any predictions about the teams, except that Faerieland will probably be last (again), Krawk Island will probably be 1st, and Maraqua will be higher in rank this year. And I plan to play my heart out like most of the other Maraquans I've seen sofar.

Darigan should do better than 8th, because everyone *in theroy* should be bounding over to Roo Island, a desert that's lost and the meridell areas, because they did really good last year. :graduated:

Muse Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I'm rooting for Lost Desert. I'm hoping we place this year...I want a nice trophy on my lookup, not some silly medal. I think it'll be competition between the Darigan Citadel, Krawk Island, Maraqua, and the Lost Desert. Those are the teams I'm seeing the most support for, though I dunno how good the players will be.

In AC1, the Haunted Woods came in first, Darigan in second, Roo Island 3rd, and Krawk Island 4th. In AC2, Darigan came in 1st, Roo Island in 2nd, Krawk in 4th, and Haunted Woods in 7th. (Everyone moved up a place except for KI, which stayed the same) In AC3, Roo Island came in first, Krawk Island in 2nd, Haunted Woods in 8th, and Darigan in 7th. (the pattern stays the same, winner goes down to 5th-10th, and everyone else moves up a place.) The only exeptions to the rule, is that Shenkuu and the Lost Desert have been battling for 3rd. AC2, Shenkuu won. AC3, Lost Desert won. So My prediction for this year is that Krawk Island will move up to 1st, Roo Island goes down to 7th, which leaves Shenkuu and the Lost Desert to battle for the title. Shenkuu will take first and Lost Desert 2nd.

lovedwallflower Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 yay @ lost desert supporters! i was starting to think i was the only one rooting for them.. as for my predictions.. i do hope that Lost Desert win, but Maraquan fans seem pretty determined this year so.. it looks like theyll be doing pretty well (ie win :P)
coaran Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Well, Maraqua has some pretty intense fans, and Krawk Island has the whole "We placed second last year" thing going. Shenkuu (where I'm going to be playing, so there might be a bit of bias here ;) ) and Lost Desert also sound like they're going to do decently. So I'm going to say those four teams for Group 1. I'll save predictions on the actual winner until everyone gets a couple of games in. :D
