Queen Diva
Um, not sure if you are aware but you can get most of the neggs/codestones, etc for cheaper from the SW.
Mimii
Yeah, I'm sure they're "aware", they are just trying to make quick bucks off of way over priced items. I hate shops like this. :\
Queen Diva
I hear you, so do I... I just thought I'd give 'em the benefit of the doubt.. I'm nice like that :P
hrtbrk
To be honest, I don't think I've ever come across a mall that sold items that weren't way overpriced. Must be nice... :(
Queen Diva
Yeah but it begs the question.... Do people actually buy from them?
Xepha
Yes they do... or there wouldn't be so many of them around. Good luck selling your items. I prefer to rely on the Super Shop Wizard :P
Queen Diva
Well. There you go then. I think they need their brains checked :D How insane. Unfortunately I don't have the super shop wiz, but the shop wiz works well enough ;)
cuttie
Thanks for all the replies: You currently have 1,033,158 NP in your till.
Queen Diva
You currently have 1,033,158 NP in your till. LOL Well there ya go, it just proves that people will buy anything without checking the price around first :D Good luck on your shop/mall/whatever it is :)
Mimii
Thanks for all the replies: You currently have 1,033,158 NP in your till. Ohh, snarky! I'm glad that ripping people off makes you feel proud enough to brag about a measly 1mil NP. Notice how no one supports this person but they feel the need to prove herself still? If you've noticed almost all of their posts have been reported for breaking the rules here. It's obvious this person only joined to advertise their crappy shop. Ah, I gotta stop. I'm being mean again. 0:) Sorry!!
Deepti M.
This annoys me a lot, because people look on these when they're in need of quest items, and can't use the Shop Wizard. And you have 1,000,000 NP in your shop, which honestly makes no difference to me, because when I put my items at the shop HONESTLY, I make 10,000 NP but at least I can live with myself... naalaro
Call me a capitalist pig or whatever, but such advertising is actually rather common around forums not only on TDN but on the boards as well. In fact i approve of it, since such shops, known as malls, make money through overpricing. Its how they make money, and to be honest, i envy these people, who requires HUGE start up costs yet get great returns in the long run. Advertising around here on boards outside of Neo also helps save advertising costs, which goes up to millions. I do however, wish that the poster not see a need to tell people about his or her shop till. While proving a point, it really comes off as extremely prideful, do watch that in the future. I myself was pretty offended by it.
Deepti M.
Yes. I hated that especially. I don't care if you have over 1 million neopoints, the point is, did you sell honestly without ripping people off???
Snakeystew
I can understand malls selling for a percentage above normal, (so 3.5k for a negg that costs just over 1k is perfectly acceptable), but... how can you price 'eye candy' at 74,000! when it's only worth 5np? (lol)

It saddens me that this annoys you. Hard work usually pays off. (This is probably going to get many more haters reply.) I myself was pretty offended by it. Thank you for the comment. I wanted to post my shop till for people's questions about having a mall that is slightly priced higher than usual. This way, we can all undestand that advertising is a great way to get some shop sales. Hence, the 4 million np advertisement that is usually done by many successful mallers. I actually just did one myself! Check it out on the "Notice Board" this week. If by any chance, anyone is interested, please check out my neopet's page. Yes. I hated that especially. I don't care if you have over 1 million neopoints, the point is, did you sell honestly without ripping people off??? I do not "rip" anyone. This is for the fact that my items are priced a little bit higher than usual. It is their utter choice to buy an item and it is not mine. The "noobs" also have the choice in this matter whether they do not know the actual price of an item. I can understand malls selling for a percentage above normal, (so 3.5k for a negg that costs just over 1k is perfectly acceptable), but... how can you price 'eye candy' at 74,000! when it's only worth 5np? (lol) Thank you for the comment. The "Eye Candy" is for the "Independent Mallers" advertisement that requires my participants to pay for the 4 million np post that I do every 2 weeks. Deepti M.
So technically, you are not paying the four million but other people are, which is why you overprice your items???????????
cuttie
So technically, you are not paying the four million but other people are, which is why you overprice your items??????????? It's great how people can judge. If you can please look at my neopet's page and put the effort on checking, you will find the answer. Deepti M.
-fakes a smile- Well actually, I already looked, and technically you are not paying that much. You still overpriced items anyways, and I'm not sure that the older accounts will fall for that.
hrtbrk
What I don't get is, why are so many people bothered by this user (and other users) doing this? If you don't purchase from them, or partake in their 'deals', then what's the problem? lol Sure, they might attract some newbies but I'd say for the most part it's mostly people who can afford over priced things so they don't care. If it they can successfully pull it off, I'm very jealous. I'd love to have that amount of money in my till let alone in the bank... and I've got maybe 15% of that in total LOL Good luck cuttie, but don't expect to see too many of us in your sales history! :P ;)

I don`t understand how you had gotten `technically you are not paying that much`information. And yes, the items are slightly higher than normal to get to benefit those that are in need of items rapidly or in need of a great selection shop. And, no, I don`t consider anyone `fall`ing for anything in my shop. There is no such indication that I want them to `fall` into something that they are not aware of. If they are not aware of anything, then it is not my choice for them to buy the items I am selling. It`s a free world, right? What I don't get is, why are so many people bothered by this user (and other users) doing this? And yes, I don`t expect anyone here that hates me to buy from my shop. Nor those people that envy me. This post has been edited by a member of staff (Ruto) because of a violation of the forum rules. Ruto
I'd like to step in for a moment and say: GUYS. CHILL. If you don't like a shop, you don't have to buy from it. You can even politely tell the user that their items are overpriced, but when you start saying things like: Ohh, snarky! No need to go at each other's throats. :)
Mimii
My problem isn't so much with the malls of Neopia as this girl coming here, violating all of the forum rules just to advertise her shop that there are already thousands of and then getting an attitude with people for speaking their minds. It all came down the blatant lack of respect for the people who just want to enjoy a nice forum without someone shoving ads down our throats. Also, I didn't really think it was all that mean. Being censored for having opinions sucks. It's not like I was calling her names and telling her to die or something. :S
Ruto
Censored? Last I checked, I didn't censor you. Nor did anyone else. It's the way you put your opinion that might have been considered rude to other people. And I don't see how cuttie cocked an attitude. I only see her thanking people for the replies she got, and then some defense when comments like the latter ones on the first page started showing up. And while I agree that posting the shop ad all over the place was never a good idea in the first place, it's perfectly acceptable to create one topic about your shop in hopes of increasing sales. People do the same thing with Beauty Contest or Caption Contest entries. Whether you agree with the shop, BC, or CC entry, that's your choice. No one's forcing you to like it. And offering constructive criticism might help the user to make the shop/entry better suited to your tastes. :)

I do not understand the part how I violated "all of the forum rules". There is no such rule as saying that you cannot advertisement a shop, a gallery, a neobard, your user-look, your avatar count here in this forum. There is also no such rule that indicate that you cannot join this forum for the sake of just advertising. And, no, I am not "shoving ads down" your throat. This is a category by which, as implied by the maker an "Anything & Everything Neopets" which ultimately include myself as advertising my neopets shop. I also do not have an attitude "with people for speaking their minds". As I have replied to you before, I "Thank you for your comment. I am not offended at all by it".
