argh...constellation finder not working! stupid dreamer pattern...

hi all,

 

so i plugged in all my numbers, got the coordinates, and tried to find my "dreamer" constellation--all my co's are right, but the stupid map just keeps saying "no constellation found"!! argh!!! wth?! is there any possibility that the constellation finder is malfunctioning, or just that neopets might be having a glitch? i doubt it's the constellation finder though, since i used another one and it gave me the same coordinates.

 

...help, someone?

thanks! tried that, though, and still not working. i'm about ready to give up on this stupid thing. unfortunately, though, i think there's going to be an avatar for this plot. it causes me physical pain thinking about the fact that i'm not going to get it....er, is that bad?

Did you try TDN's constellation finder?

It'll give you coordinates, and then you have to look for them in your telescope. I used to when I had to redo the plot and it worked really well for me.

decided i wanted to give it another shot again tonight...still no luck. i used tdn's constellation finder, as well as a few others, but all gave me the same coordinates. what the deuce? maybe i'll try it on another computer or something. ugh. this is really starting to get annoying... D:<

I'm having the same problem. I put in the coordinates, both sets because my sleeper is different than the one on the coordinates calculator. Neither page yields a link, even a small one for a spellbook. Is there anything else I can do? Which one of these should I focus on? 

I get 20,25 when I use the sleeper on my neopets, and 12,15 when I enter the star data

Where did you get the coordinates for your "Regular Sleeper"? Only asking, since they don't fit the Sleeper coordinates pattern. The TDN "Star Data" Sleeper coordinates do, though.

So, for the Sleeper coordinates pattern, starting with the first set of coordinates, all of the "X" coordinates increase by 40. Again, starting with the first set of coordinates, the first three "Y" coordinates decrease by 30. "Y" coordinates for the third and fourth set are the same, and then "Y" coordinates for 4 thru 6 increase by 30. The first and sixth "Y" coordinates should be the same. The second and fifth "Y" coordinates should be the same, and, as I mentioned earlier, the third and fourth "Y" coordinates should be the same, too.

Looking at the TDN "Star Data" for the "X" coordinates, -11 + 40=29. 29 + 40=69. 69 + 40=109. 109 + 40=149. And 149 + 40=189. They fit the pattern, as they all increase by 40.

Looking at your "Regular Sleeper" "X" coordinates, the first one is -261. -261 + 40= -221. Your second "X" coordinate, however, is -201, which is a difference of +60 from your first coordinate. Following the pattern, your second coordinate should be -221 + 40= -181. Your third "X" coordinate, however, is -141. Again, this is a +60 difference. Your fourth coordinate is -131. From your fourth and fifth coordinate, -141 to -131, that is a +10 difference. That doesn't quite follow your pattern of +60 between coordinates. The difference between your fifth and sixth "X" coordinates, -71 and -151 is -80. There doesn't seem to be a pattern for your "Regular Sleeper" "X" coordinates. They also do not increase by 40.

For the "Y" coordinates, for the TDN "Star Data", the first one is 244 and the second is 214. That is a difference of -30. From 214 to 184, again it is a difference of 30. So, far, so good. The fourth coordinate is 184, too, and matches the pattern of the third and fourth coordinates matching. From the fourth and fifth, 184 to 214, that is an increase of 30. The second and fifth coordinates match, as does the pattern. From the fifth and sixth, 214 to 244, again, an increase of 30. The first and sixth "Y" coordinates match.

Your first "Y" "Regular Sleeper" coordinate is -298. Your second "Y" coordinate is = -308. That is a difference of 10. Your third coordinate is -298. That is an increase of 10. Not quite matching the pattern of a 30 difference. Your fourth "Y" coordinate is -258. Your third and fourth coordinates do not match, and is an increase of 40. Your fifth coordinate is -238. Your second and fifth coordinates do not match, and have an increase of only 20. Finally, your sixth coordinate is -338. It does not match your first coordinate.

I don't believe your "Regular Sleeper" coordinates are correct, as they don't follow the pattern that everyone's Sleeper coordinates should.

However, the TDN "Star Data" ones do. I'd say those might be the right ones and your Spellbook should be found at 12, 15. Might want to concentrate there, but I'd say either clear your browser's cache or use a completely different browser and get your star data again, and input it into TDN's Constellation Finder. If they still match the "Star Data" coordinates, then I'd say those should be correct and you should find your Spellbook in room 12, 15.
