  1. Hmm are you TDN guys sure your Shenkuu Tangram guide's right? I forgot how to set the rabbit-looking one's ear so I went to check, but I'm sure the shape is supposed to be adjacent-ish to the picture... right?

Edit: This is definitely what happened with the pieces the first time I played the game when it came out. Was it changed, was my game glitched, we may never know.. *twilight zone music*

Also Daily Dare needs a subforum!

Be sure to read the guide as well as look at the pictures.

You are supposed to press the up arrow key to flip the shapes on their back.

That should solve any problems you are having with trying to fit pieces.

  2. Let's see...

Yesterday was alright, receiving three or so inches of snow. Then there was a shower of freezing rain.

Ice was inevitable, of course. Very nasty weather basically.

  3. A couple of my favorite authors include Douglas Adams and Michael Crichton. They both were excellent authors with outstanding stories.

It is a huge shame that they are no longer living with us though. =/ Michael Crichton was really one of the most unexpected passing during 2008.

Although a neat thing is that Chricton's very last novel will be published posthumously in May 2009. And apparently the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is going to have a sixth book to the series. Although it is to be written by a different author.

  4. Well, pretty much FTX's guild is the only one dedicated to thedailyneopets (I think?!)

But the username 'TDN' was pretty much a normal user which had no connection to thedailyneopets since it was created before the main site existed XD

The Daily Neopets officially started on October 17, 2005. The site existed before the account, actually.

But no, that user name is purely coincidental. Unless we inspired them. :P

  5. It is highly recommended that you have MSN in the least. It is much easier to communicate between staff that way.

If you are unable to download anything, you could create an hotmail account and just log on using a browser-based program such as Meebo.

  6. For it to be a perfect-square, each side should consist of approximately the same amount of pixels.

The width seems a bit stretched out a bit, rendering it a rectangle. Also, "TDN" could be a little more centered.

The pencil animation and paintbucket is pretty clever, however.

  7. Happy Birthday, TJ!

I wish you an incredible eighteenth birthday. :) Although now you are a man, so grown up. Also, you are practically able to do absolutely anything in life. :O (Except for the consumption of specific beverages) I deeply envy those who are able to order those advertisements on TV that constantly tell me that I must be 18 years or older to order. But in all seriousness, happy birthday TJ. Have a great one!

  8. Personally, I extremely enjoy the new Haunted Woods layout.

It's not as dark as before, but it has a more eerie mysterious light effect now. (Which I find a bit more atmospheric)

Map revamps seem to be appearing rather quickly now, which is really awesome. Not long ago did Kiko Lake get a remake. (Not too fancy, but better than before.)

Xepha's right though. If any map needs a revamp, it is Faerieland. Plot or not.

Quick Update: Neovia seems to have gotten the treatment too. Which would make sense, since it is part of the Haunted Woods.

  9. Revenge, that is pure genius right there. It's quite an honor for someone to snoop around the forum while finding every conceivable pun that ever escaped my keyboard. I just wish there was a built-in application for this current version of the forum that totals the amount of brain cells lost from reading those dreaded puns. I also wish my sentences weren't so long. I'm longing for a way to fix that.

Seriously though, Revenge. That is one mighty fine post you managed to assemble.

I'd bestow to you some sort of awesome graphic depicting your accomplishment, but it's getting rather late and also I can hardly make half decent images on the computer (Without taking a highly excessive amount of days). Please accept this, however:

  10. I'm not too sure as to how people misunderstood your post, FutureTXGovernor, but I do understand where you are trying to get at. You're basically saying that a virtual prize is given depending on rank. (Like the Neopets referral system. Or any other virtual site I can't exactly think of at the moment.) In either case, its an interesting idea nonetheless. But at the moment I am unaware of TNT's current policy regarding items. Although since we are giving away items without anything in return, it should probably be alright. But do not take my word for it, however. In the meantime, we need to concentrate on getting Jerry back.

That "Member/Staffer of The Month" idea is not actually too bad in my personal opinion. It not only encourages members to be respectful and helpful to others, but it encourages us as staff to stay on top of our game as well.

All in all, these ideas are certainly something to take into account. :)

UPDATE: Anime snuck in and posted. I don't necessarily see why we can't figure something out with these ideas. "The *title* Of The Month" thing sounds remotely plausible.:P

  11. I need quotes. D=

And I sure was random back then, Zac. =o

It's amazing what a couple of years at TheDailyNeopets can really do to a person.

Funny though. A nutty person slowly fades into a semi-serious sane shell of a person, while a sane person slowly fades into a spiraling episode of insanity.

    Moar quotes. :(

  12. Actually, there is historical evidence of the existence of Jesus. Several account of historians who lived during or near the time period of His existence mention Jesus in their work. Cornelius Tacitus, a widely accepted Roman historian, mentions how he blames the Christians for the fire set upon Rome. Tacitus goes on to speak about the founder of Christianity, Jesus Christ Himself. This guy also had hostility towards Christians and went on to say that the whole belief was nothing but a puff of smoke. However, due to Tacitus' recognition as a man who never betrayed historical records, he never once denied the existence of Jesus. If he were to go against historical records, Cornelius Tacitus would've hardly mention Jesus at all.

Thallus and Phlegon, both famous historians, literally lived during the time of Jesus' crucifixion. They described everything turning dark during this event. The Bible mentions the same thing when it tells about the crucifixion.

It's funny though. Many people who look for scientific evidence regarding Jesus discount the Bible as a "reliable source". Ironically, it is actually the most reliable source to date. Plus, it is a historical document like anything else.

An Evangelist came to my church the other day. (He was a funny and great guy.) He brought up some great points regarding Christianity.

One kid asked, "How do we know that Christianity is correct and Islamic, Buddhism, Voodooism, etc. is wrong? They say that their prayers are answered by their belief, so what makes us any different?"

The Evangelist responds by stating how their prayers ARE answered, but not by God, but by Satan instead. Satan tricks them into believing that their prayers have been answered, turning them further away from God. Plus, the Evangelist mentions how easily he can tear up religious works such as the Koran in terms of fact. The Bible is the most accurate religion, it would appear. And I agree.

Perhaps it didn't give too much insight as to why Christians are right, but the Evangelist was pretty powerful.

    Ya should've been there.

It's also interesting to note that even atheists are spiritual, if only a sliver, no matter how much they deny it.

When an atheist asks themselves, "Where do we come from? What is our purpose?", they are asking a spiritual question. Thus, atheism becomes its own little religion in itself. So if atheism is just another religion, what compels Christians to believe them?

Besides, atheists believe in their own "god" (if you can call it that) known as science. Which leaves them just like the rest of us.

    -------

Then there is the evolution thing. The human body, so complex and mysterious, was created by chance? No, I refuse to think such a thing.

The Big Bang? No... if everything came from the Big Bang, then where did the Bing Bang come from? If anything, God could have made the silly thing. The Bible states that God created the world, but it did not get too deep with detail. Heck, the Bible even mentions "dinosaur-like" creatures.

    -------

But this was all my two cents....
