Oh for goodness sake. It's gotten so frustrating that I barely even check in anymore. I check in on TDN to see if the site is better first, so I almost never actually play now.

I'm glad to know it isn't just me. It's still really annoying. I haven't been doing most of my dailies or other playing lately because of it.

I did pretty good in my earlier days. I don't play nearly as much now. I've already donated a bunch of NP/items to the avatar lending program, since it did so much for me. My main source of income is the stock market. I started training a BD pet, and the stock market at least keeps me in enough NP to do that. For now. I've spent most of what I had to get avatars. That's my real obsession around here. So, yeah, I'm not actually worth all that much anymore (unless the avatars count as value, because OUCH some of those were expensive to get), but I'm comfortable where I am.

I'm open for swapping items for the achievement. I'm a Seeker. I will be online off and on this evening.

I have this problem as well, with Google Chrome. I thought it was just because I haven't updated in a while (I have four windows open with at least ten tabs each, and I don't feel like bookmarking), but I'll have to try NoScript! I already have AdBlock, but it doesn't always work on Neopets - or, when it does, a lot of the time it takes a minute for the ads to be hidden.

The older version of AdBlock for Chrome didn't stop ads from loading, but hid them after they loaded. The newer version stops them from loading in the first place. Check to see if you have the latest Adblock version installed.

As a kid, there was a costume I wanted to do SO BADLY for years. Then I got "too old". (You know, those not-so-magical teenage years where you try to distance yourself from anything that might be seen as childish.) And this year, one of the big Halloween parties has the theme of "Something From Your Childhood". So this year, I'm going as Rainbow Brite. :D

I just finished the finishing touches on a friend's sweet Skeletor costume. He and his girlfriend did some of it and I did the parts that required machine sewing and pattern-making. I have to say, I have only seen a handful of better ones. It's also closer to accurate than most.

Well, two lucky lab zaps in less than a week! Looks like nobody's dream pet is a Disco Wocky, so I'm offering here first!

I had a particularly lucky zap of the lab ray this week and was able to fulfill someone's dream pet wish from a while back (Grey Usul). Remember, it doesn't hurt to wish! You just might end up with your dream pet!

Password changed, but it's still occurring. It's only happened while playing Plushie Tycoon, but that accounts for most of my activity at the moment, so it might not mean anything. I don't use the NC Mall.

I've noticed that as of two days ago, I get logged out often. If I'm idle for a short time, I'm logged out. It's getting annoying. I know that I get logged out when I log in on another computer or browser and that's to be expected. In this case, however, I'm logged out despite not using another computer or browser.

I've seen it on two systems. System A is a standard PC, with Firefox. System B is my iPhone with Safari. It happened all day yesterday on System B despite System A being turned off. It's happening on System A today despite not using System B at all. I haven't made any updates to either in the past couple of weeks. If it were the same type of system, the same browser, or something of that nature, I could possibly pinpoint it. I'm just not seeing where the problem is, though.

Is anyone else experiencing it? If so, under what conditions?

I'm so sorry to hear you have to go through this. Every time I hear about these things, it maks me wonder if I really want to keep putting effort into my account because it seems like it just takes one random little event that triggers some alarm that could get me frozen. I could lose everything for nothing. I think it's the biggest reason I don't spend that much time on Neopets anymore. I wish we could get this across to TNT. I certainly won't spend money on an account that could be dropped anytime for what feels like any reason. :(

I just got back from Real Life, which sucked up time for a month. So, I'm having trouble with the very first part. Where is the list of solutions to help those of us who are stuck at the beginning so we can catch up?

There are a bunch of threads, but I went through the whole first one and the beginning of the second one, but nobody posted the answers anywhere. It's incredibly frustrating to spend two hours on one question (2nd question of the very first portion) and not be able to find a place to read the answer so I can actually get on with enjoying the plot. Not to mention I can't even ask for a hint because the early threads are locked, which shouldn't happen unless answers are given, because now I have to post a somewhat off-topic thread in this area instead of in the correct thread.

It's frustrating and I hope TDN learns from this experience and does it better next time.

For the avvie, you need to have 1 mil INVESTED, right? The quickest method would be to buy 1k shares each day of the highest stock then, wouldn't it? (Although you probably won't make any profit then).

 

I've been playing the stock market for, about a year now and I love it =).

To the best of my knowledge, it is how much you have invested that counts. I'm close enough that I could have it within a month buying 15 NP stocks, so I'm continuing to buy them at 15 NPdaily, but yes, you could buy the highest priced stocks to get there faster. It's not a good way to make NP, but it wouldn't take as long. For every stock you buy at, say, 45 NP, that's two fewer days you have to wait to get the avatar over buying at 15 NP. If you spend 60 NP on a stock, that's three fewer days. It's unlikely that those stocks will maintain a good value by the time you get to the end of the road, though.

Of course, I just sold 1000 shares at 280%, so that adds another day, but the profit was worth it.

I ended up with a Blackberry Yoyo for my first time around. Not bad.

Yesterday my Eyrie became Island! Today it was just +2 movement points.

I've got to put the Eyrie up for adoption prior to my Krawk lending chain date. Some lucky, lucky player will end up with Darrtagnian.

Fantastic! We're really moving along on these goals. It's probably going to seem painfully long for the BGC. ^^;;

I like it. It's well-balanced, easy to read, and has a nice amount of information. It looks to me like you did your best and expressed yourself well. I'm hoping it works out for you, but I'm not the person with the pet, so I don't know what they will find intriguing. It would certainly be an application that I would consider, were I to post a special pet for adoption. Everybody has a different idea of what they think makes a good application, so I wouldn't take the criticism too harshly. You have a beautiful presentation and good content. Beyond that, it's just personal taste. :)

First off, the lab ray changed my lab rat into a Poogle (!) and then today it changed her to Purple! Time to adopt her out! ^_^

Well, I'd certainly be up for trying for a SuAP. I still need the BGC, too, though. Anything we pick now is going to take a while. Whatever staff decides is fine by me!

I've been lent a few things at less than their worth. It really helped me out back then. I'm hoping for BGC at some point. I'm starting to save back up again so I can donate to the ALP. Now that the Krawk and Draik are covered, maybe it's time to go for the BGC. My nice things are usually donating toward the ALP and giving away my lab rats when they turn into a nice color.

There are some really awesome people out there. Unfortunately a lot of them get taken advantage of and stop being quite so trusting and nice. :(
