It's biased phrasing by members of the gov and selective reporting by the press, but what I'm seeing differs from what you are seeing. You won't know exactly what I am talking about because of that selective reporting and press black out.

No, I'm saying that what are clearly terrorist attacks in other cases are being called 'incidents' rather than called what they are... terrorist attacks.

those old fashioned nokia were awesome. The ones that if you dropped your phone the floor broke, instead of the wimpy things now that break if you look at them funny.  I saw a picture of one of those things once that was built into a wall, AND IT STILL HAD CHARGE AND BARS!!

Only on the last sentence, the first bit I'm not agreeing with you. I'm sorry it's a bit vague, I'm trying to stay out of trouble so haven't explained myself very well.

I would disagree with that, given what I see. For example a well known member of parliament publically referring to attacks on mosques as 'terrorist attacks', and then referring to stadium bombings and other attacks as 'incidents'. Other examples I could give but I can't because of a certain press black out. I agree that terrorism is terrorism though, whoever perpetrates it against whom.

Let us know what you need. I don't mind who I vote for in the next round, I just have to TRY to remember not to make my own choice before checking here.

I'm quite new too. I actually joined a while back but only really just took the plunge and started posting because people seem nice here. 

Very much  a moot point, they didn't open my ticket either. :/

I'd have mine as a side I think, despite the FC bets being quite considerable by now, I get where you are coming from witth the avatars and trophies and things I have on this account that I couldnt get back.

huh, I gave them pretty much everything including my still active email account, but there was no such thing as NC when I last was able to get into it unfortunately :/

 

Ugh, I hope they don't let us vote.   I  noticed on the boards that after neopets changed something because of the complaining chatboard element, they thought they could demand this and that. It's like having a virtual tantrum on the chatboards gets you your own way, and I don't like that.   

I think neopets should run the game, not votes or  who can complain the loudest on the chatboards.

I think people here remember that before they decide to strike. After all the miners striked so long they had nothing to go back to because, whether you agreed with the government or the miners, it wasn't viable to open some mines up again and their jobs weren't there anymore.

turn around time? Slow to erratic to non-existent. My ticket was in well over a year and wasn't looked at, never mind resolved. And now I have to submit a new one and wait again.  Hopefully the new system will be better.

Just about made my stake back today. At least it wasn't a loss :)

I'd have like to have seen something saying if my existing ticket was still valid or everything already submitted  has been scrapped.

there was a security breach way back, and passwords were changed.  The help section is undergoing changes right now and the ticketing system isn't up and running.

I have some native american family. I've never met them though, my mother and a couple of my sisters go over to the US now and again to visit various family but I haven't been. Actually we've got rellys all over America, mainly North America though. Mostly the united states and a couple in Canada but yeah, all over. 

Re: what people refer to other people as...my step brother isn't white, he refers to himself as black. YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE how many people try to be PC and call him an African american.  No offense meant to my American friends here, but THAT he does find offensive. People try to be PC yet completely disregard the fact that he is not american. He's never even been to America. He's not African American.  He doesn't like being referred to as such. The internet seems to have made this the catch all PC term though...

 

Nielo, I've had to fill out a few of those ethnicity/race forms a few times. I always decline to answer on the grounds of it being none of their darn business and irrelevant. Along with my sexual orientation, shoe size and how I like my coffee.  Irrelevant. (Unless I'm buying shoes or coffee hahaha  )

Jelly, what I do is start from the bottom of the table and scroll up it box by box. That way, the box at the top of the screen is always the box I should be looking at.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed as such because I wasn't really expecting much, but I think...underwhelmed,,,is a good word for how I feel about what I did get. Mainly I just do events and things for the avatar(s) and a nice shiny trophy though, so I'm happy enough with that.

I keep checking to see if the new systems up and running yet but its not, I have a similar problem as Jelly in that I can't access my old side account - I put a ticket in well over a year ago and it was never looked at. I'm hoping the new system is an improvement too but realistically I'm expecting to have to submit another ticket and wait all over again though.
