You could balance it out by buying 1000 shares of from The Stock Market @http://www.neopets.com/stockmarket.phtml for 15 NP or as close to 15 NP you can get, unless you get the "Cheaper by the Dozen " boon from winning with a Faction in the Obelisk Skirmish Battles where you can get stocks at 10 NP. You buy those stocks and try to forget about them for months so they can build up. Good Luck!
