Hi! Would anyone like some WN/DN pets? I adopted way too many for me to handle, and I'd really like to see them in a decent home at least. They're very common pets with common colors, so you can paint/zap/prepare for ZYDP or anything. I only have 1 transfer per month though, so if someone takes one pet on a side, that's either waiting for August or taking the risky abandon/adopt route.

Anyway, I started a petpage for collecting the screencaps for all the Notable Neopets I find. It's ~MrArowana, if you're interested, and it has only 5 Neopets right now actually. I was also thinking of getting the name Screencaps, since I found out that no one had taken it, but I'm kinda uncomfortable with having pets that don't have name-like names and even if I can find a nice nickname, what pet, with a decent NP-only custom, should it be?

Okay, I'm getting derailed. Here's the real question:

I neomailed all the owners and so far, they seem very happy that I took the time to screencap their pets and stuff. And honestly I'm really glad about the reception I'm getting.

However, one owner was so happy that he sent me an Discovered Treasure Chest. While I'm so happy that he decided to thank me with a very nice gesture, I'm kind of unsure if this is breaking the rules, so I haven't accepted it yet. In any case, I'd like to get a second opinion on whether I should accept this or not. And preferably, sources on where you have based your opinion on. I tried searching for this, but I couldn't find anything.

I personally prefer the Eventide Zafara. I really like Zafaras, especially when it comes to customization :P

Hi! Has anyone customized their pet to celebrate the latest achievement in American history?

I'd personally paint one of my Neopets Rainbow, but alas; I'm am but a poor Neopian I should really concentrate long enough to reap in good profits It would be a dream to have a Rainbow Neopet right now :D

While I don't have any rainbow items, I do have a transgender female Neopet that I think of as a romantic partner for Allazena, another female. I used the last bit of my NC to trade for items for her customization ^u^

Now if only I had the Spectacles of Perception and the Candy Dot Curtains... But I love how she looks right now, and it was perfect that my last trade coincided with this event :D

I kept seeing morphing potions in the shop but I could never get there quick enough cause I was checking what the restocking price was so I decided to just buy it straight away anyway and I ended buying one for around 35k that was worth about 1500. In all honesty I dunno about anyone else but for me I'd rather do that and lose a bit of NP in the short term and gain it back when you get a good one cause I'm sure nobody really knows the worth of every single morphing potion.

 

Are you actually trying restocking or did you see it and grab the opportunity? Usually if it's been sat there a while I assume it's not worth anything.

I usually restock food items, particularly from the Bakery. I actually haven't been restocking much lately :P I just look at the Magical Shop from time to time. Then lo and behold- my biggest mistake on Neopets so far.

would you consider putting it up for trade? i'd be willing to trade 2,000 np as well as items for it. for example do you have all the forgotten shore map pieces? i would trade you one of each and while they arent good for resale if you keep all nine in your inventory you can visit the forgotten shore and when you do ( or at least when i did) i made 8,531 np as a reward) and you can go back every day for items or np

Since you've already bought it, I suggest you use it on one of your pets and get the Magical Kauvara avatar!  You get that one from using any morphing potion on your pets.  That way, you'll feel better about what you spent, and have something to show for it.

You know, I was about to say I didn't like Kyriis and I don't collect Avatars, but I tried seeing if one of my pets (which I've wanted to morph lately but was thinking Bori, rather) and my goodness, Malditta would look really nice as a Kyrii! It's even better because not only is there a Kyrii-specific dress that goes with her outfit (that's as cheap as the morphing potion, and solves my problem of getting the expensive Lovely Kacheek Dress), her dream customization suits the Speckled Kyrii, and I have a Speckled Paintbrush lying in my SDB! You're right, I'd definitely feel better about this, because it's so... wow. It solves all the problems I had with Malditta's customization.

Long story short: I saw the word Morphing Potion in the Shop. I bought the Morphing Potion, vaguely remembering at the back of my head from the restocking tutorials I've read that Morphing Potions usually catch good prices.. I found out that the Morphing Potion is actually worth 2000 on the Shop Wizard.

What makes it even worse was that there were two morphing potions and of course, I picked the one that'll give me a worse deduction. Now I'm 33,333 nps lower and I have a Green Kyrii Morphing Potion sitting in my Shop, and I have no idea whether I should price it at 2000 or attempt to regain whatever I've lost.

Sorry for venting, I was hoping this would make me feel better :(

Since you're pet is Rainbow, I thought it would be cool if you had a contrast to it, like it was the only thing with color in the entire room. Serust could be a detective of sorts! 

I'm not sure where I should've posted this, but since I couldn't find anything else that fits the topic, I posted in General. I'm sorry if I got it wrong!

To start, all of my pet's birthdays are in May-July, and I missed the first of them, which was my Zafara's on May 29th since I wasn't really active. Sorry, Honeyberries :'( As an apology gift of sorts, I bought her the dress that's part of her final customization, although she's wearing (cheap) Altador-themed clothing right now.

Anyway, I was just wondering, how do you celebrate a Neopet's birthday? What do you guys plan on doing when it's your pet's special day? Expensive clothing? Paintbrushes? Giving them food? Playing their favorite games? What's your plan?

I kind of wanted to participate in the latest Customization Contest, but I had been slacking off on Neopets lately, since 1) school projects and 2) Not much is happening lately. When I finally saw the latest theme, it was too late :P Oh well.

Anyway, I really want to share my idea for the Sky Full of Stars + Jubjub contest, so here you go:

I have to say, I don't like the round pets much, but if I had a Jubjub plus cash, this is definitely what I'm going to do!

While I generally like the concept and how it was pulled off in Steven Universe, I don't actually watch it since it's not my cup of tea. Its humor isn't my type, like Adventure Time. However, same with AT, I respect the show a great deal and think it's a fantastic show with a wonderful premise, and they are definitely better than the old cartoons that were simple slapstick humor. It's deep and personally and intelligently written, with a great variety of well-rounded characters. I actually reblog a lot of SU fan art and theories on Tumblr, mainly because I think they're good. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone based off what I've seen.

I understand the rules for side accounts (I've read this pet page three times already actually) and I get that we're not allowed to make NP with them. Period.

But considering that the Negg Hunt this year is basically a random event thing, you can't control when the baskets come. And while I was using my side, I got one by accident. I sent it over to my main and opened it before realizing that this might not be allowed :weird: I still have the items in my inventory, and I'm not sure what to do with them.

So... we're not allowed to search for the items outright, but how about baskets found by accident? Do we discard/donate them if we find it on a side?

And as for Rainbow_Dipped, I don't know what happened there with the image (I probably changed or deleted it without realizing), but here's how she currently is dressed.

 

Previous comments about her outfit still stand. (Plus, I can never get the Tacky Lighted Holiday Shoes to work on her Dress to Impress outfits, they actually are in the right place on her Neopets image.)

 

Now, I'd like to say that I knew exactly what your pets were dressed as almost as soon as I saw webcomic, but seeing the head of your Chomby confirmed it. So yeah, fellow trash here.

 

All of your pets look great but, and I hate to say it, I have to agree about Dirk being hard to customize; you have the general themes right, but it doesn't really resemble him much, somehow.

 

Here's what I came up with quickly; the glasses were the closest fit I could find, and I didn't go through ALL the wigs to find a good one (and the ones I did find hid the glasses anyway), so no wig. I realize that this might not be a reasonably achievable custom to actually do, I was just going off looks.

Dirk is really hard. Dirk is REALLY hard. At one point I had a custom and realized it was an almost perfect Bro custom (that Impressive Plushie Collection makes a great pile of smuppets), but not so great of a Dirk custom. This one obviously isn't perfect and probably not even that good, I just tried to capture the character a little bit.

IDK, but I always imagine Dave to be a Plushie Draik, because it's the closest to looking real, and Dave would definitely make fun of the Plushie colour and do his best to hide his own colour. AU is that the Fountain Faerie wouldn't change his colour, since it's so rare and expensive :D

JAAADE I LOVE HER haha anyway, she's the reason why Jake is a Gelert; I really really wanted her to be a Lupe :D

Wow, they're all so cute! I find it weird that the Wocky looks very similar to the first one :P

She does have a few items she'd like. Problem is that she's as lazy as Ned Bigby. If I can get her to make a wishlist, I'll let you know!

I love the Cybunny one. A friend of mine has a camouflage Cybunny and a Faerie Cybunny. They look fun to customize.

Cybunnies are adorable! I really like customizing them honestly. They're so cute and pudgy, and their only problem (well, biggest problem anyway) is the ruff. The thing is, I'm not very good with NP-only customs. There was only one that was really good, and it's 3rd place among the best, and quite expensive :D

Here is my suggestions... I didn't really keep track of prices.

Your suggestions look really cool! I know you didn't keep track of the price, because that On The Go Cybunny wig was ranging around 100~200K last I remember. Otherwise, it looks really nice!

fairicandy, ameilia and sugarmint all look absolutely adorable, I have a weakness for pastels. You may be right about fairicandy's glasses though. And the wig looks very cute on her, but I don't know if it matches much.

I recently lucked out with a lot of free NC and went a little crazy on getting NC items, especially with the recent sales (let it never be said OJ can't find a bargain/stretch money, even free money, as far as possible!) some of which I don't have a particular use for...

I just finished this custom on knightofearth after AGES of agonizing over the right custom for him, and spending a LOT of neopoints to paint him Woodland. The shirt was on sale from the mall, and I thought it fit perfectly, and naturally the rest seemed to fall into place. I don't particularly like the helmet, but its the best non-Shenkuu helmet available. NP-wise this whole outfit is actually rather cheap besides his paintjob, and I'm really proud of this one but open to criticism. (EDIT: Oh no, his quiver doesn't show up! Here's the outfit page.)

goodwool is sort of the mascot of my needlework/wool gallery, so her custom reflects that. A nice neopian traded me for that lovely lovely sweater which I'd had my eye on even knowing it was a retired craft faerie item; it just fits the theme of her custom so well! Open to changes but i'm pretty happy with this one too.

I don't really have a theme in mind for angorabunny, but I painted her camouflage because camo cybunnies are really cute and had the caplet, so they sort of suggested the rest of the custom. Not particularly pleased with the faerie flute or the shoes, alternate suggestions are welcome.

This is the ideal final custom I have in mind for Tnuq. I know, I know, it's totally frowned upon to use a whole set of clothes, but this clothes set just looks too good I think. I highly doubt I'll ever actually attain the Star Gazing background and intend to substitute the Malicious Dark Faeries one instead, but yeah. Here she is.

Poor Rainbow_Dipped, I have one good Christmas-y custom for her and I struggle for the other 11 months of the year. Really open to suggestions for her, though I'd like to use the shrug, I feel like it suits her coloring very well.

So this one I'm a little ashamed of...I got the background and butterflies during the valentines sale and really wanted to use them, so I came up with this custom and adopted a Ruki in order to implement it. Her name is sehetep and she's not even close to this custom yet because I still have to paint her and get the clothes (if you want to see the ENCHANTING movement in this custom, here is the link), but this is my current vision for her. (I've wanted a bipedal pet for cute custom options for a while though, so adopting a poundstuck pet was a simple choice.) Open to changes but I really think she's very cute.

goodwool looks really cute! Add the Bright Yarn and Bells Foreground, if you have NC. You can trade for it with others.

angorabunny and Tnuq look well! They both suit their species and colours!

I think this was the best one I made. I really wanted a Gelert for Jake, but I was pleasantly surprised when Camouflage Gelerts were green! :D

This one was the first one I made, actually. Roxy's my fave Alpha kid anyway. She used to hold a Dyeworks Pink: Glass Rose Staff in homage to her mother, but I exchanged it with her (used to be) fave addiction. I'm glad she's growing up and getting over it, honestly!

Hi! I have a friend (am I allowed to mention her specific Neopets account name because she isn't from TDNF) who rarely goes onto Neopets. She does come from time to time, but doesn't do much, you know?

Anyway, with the help of the certain websites, she managed to get a Strawberry Wocky and Rainbow Cybunny! In addition to her first Neopet, a Yellow Meerca, she's pretty happy that she has a bit of a family.

But both of us would like to customize her pets, to give a bit of life to them. We don't really have set personalities for them, so go wild! My friend is definitely the girly type though, so cute stuff is awesome. However, since she sparingly comes to the site, it's preferable for the customs to be cheap, or using the items she has already. She also only has 450 NC, from beginner's free NC and the lag NC.

Are you willing to spend NC or not? I wasn't sure, but judging from the fact you used only NP items, I guessed no.

Your current custom quite nice, actually! It just looks a little bit empty. It also has a tendency to be heavy at the top.

Here's my idea, based off what you've already done:

It feels kinda empty, but I'm sure you can improve on it! You can honestly stick with the flower crown though. I'm just biased towards wigs :P
