I'm joining the Order because it seemed like the majority of an HC thread on the Neoboards chose the Order. Either way, the only faction avatar I have is The Sway...gotta try for the others!

I've been playing Neopets for about 10-11 years, but I've had my current account for about 7 1/2. It's honestly just a part of who I am at this point...play a bit, take a break, come back. :P

I think I'll be sticking with Neopets for a long time so I'm not worried about the restrictions. It's all in the distant future for me haha. I mean, I've stuck with Neopets on-and-off for seven years now...thinking I'll one day leave and never ever come back is a bit pessimistic on my part.

 

I'll probably only begin working on the trophies when I reach 250 avatars. I have ten so far, five site event and five game. That's actually more trophies than I thought I had...

 

With Food Club and Habitarium I could easily see myself making 20 mil within a calendar year working at the leisurely pace I usually play Neopets at. I'm not worried at all :)

I discard junk because I so often see the Money Tree littered with junk donations. Honestly, what I think happens when someone donates their junk is that someone will take it and then discard it to clean out the Money Tree. Now that I have Packrat, I'm probably going to start doing that with my 10 grabs a day since I still need Rubbish.

I have two cats, Freddie and Genie. I named Freddie right before my junior year marching band season with the show being the music of Queen, so he's named after Freddie Mercury. We got Genie in January this year and I wanted her name to coordinate somehow, so I based hers off of another famous rock band frontman, Gene Simmons of KISS.

 

I read somewhere a while ago that cats respond better to names ending in an "ee" sound too so that's coincidentally beneficial :)

I saw I had 998 items, so I went to the Shop Ads board and found a cheap shop to nab the last two. I can't believe I finally did it. x_x

This is the first event-type thing I've ever done on the site! Even though I've been on Neo with my current account for 7 1/2 years, I would always be on hiatus when something interesting would happen, haha. I'm excited for whatever this turns out to be :)

It's funny because not only does Boochi always miss now, so I finally got Boochi as a challenger without the heartwrenching risk of losing a good paint, but friendlyaisha is already painted Baby and has been painted like that for seven years!

Yes! I just got Boochi as a challenger from a random event today.

 

Random challengers are just that...random. Not getting Garoo might be a part of DoN being broken like you said. I wish they would fix it soon...there are some avatars from DoN I would like...

Since the last week of the month always has huge upsets I like to use higher-risk bets during that week since I'll probably not make my NP back anyway haha. I've been using Lefty (~innocent) and having some success. I'll be sure to check out the other bets listed here too.

I really want a pastel Peophin! I was going to paint mine Tyrannian before, but I enjoy saving up for more expensive colors :)

My oldest is my Ixi, kassiemary54. I adopted her from a board on the PC in Y9 about a month after I made my account; her owner didn't want her anymore for whatever reason. I've loved on her ever since :) She's my bookworm and currently my lab pet; I'm trying to zap her Chocolate. She's been red, Cloud, Elderlygirl, and is currently Striped. She also went through a lab phase where she was a blue Chomby but I morphed her back to an Ixi for the Kauvara avatar :P

It's important to max-bet not only to maximize your profits, but to ensure that when you do have bets that win, that you make back what you bet overall. Some bets that Hugo makes are meant to add more likely np to your winnings--but the odds are generally so high on these bets that they don't make a lot.

 

For example, when my friend and I used the same bets one day (Hugo's), she lost neopoints overall and I gained profit because I bet the max and she did not.

 

It's kind of confusing for me to explain because I've only been betting for about a month, but yeah! Have fun with Food Club. Sometimes it's easier to jump into doing something and then understand it fully later, and this is one of those things :P

The Neoboards and TDN seem to be favoring the Sway, so I joined that faction. Best of luck everyone :)

I'm playing Faerie Bubbles right now for the avatar...right now I'm 75% to the avatar haha. TDN's guide is really, really useful for that one.

I got the avatar score for Mynci Beach Volleyball once and it didn't send <_< That one requires a bunch of time and practice. I haven't been able to get the score since, though.

Finally sold my stamp for 2.5mil! I have about 3.5mil in the bank now, the most I've ever had :)

 

I also finally got level 50 hab today. I can't believe the amount of NP I'm making from those beautiful purple gems.
