So I've finally decided to give my user lookup some colour, but I wanted to make something myself instead of the premade ones that some neopets related websites offer. I was working on a background and uploaded it to photobucket but when i put the code in, it didn't show anything at all. Are my HTML skills THAT rusty or does neopets just not accept pictures/images and what not from websites they haven't approved of? If it's the later on, does anyone know of a place I could post several pictures on that they would accept?

I've actually never had a problem with this... I used to play mmo's or other online games a lot more when I was a teenager, but I've never really heard or seen anyone make bad comments because i was a girl, or towards any other girl for that matter. Yeah there were some jerks sometimes, but from what I remember they weren't sexist, they just tried to bug everyone with stupid stuff. Maybe I just got lucky? These days when I do play an mmo it's with a group I've known for years, and yes they pick on me, but I pick on them too, it's all in good fun and we're still there for each other when someone has a problem, whatever it may be.

I personally prefer big dogs over little dogs. Like people say, it's all in how they're raised and handled. My mom worked in a vet clinic for 6 years and I've worked there a little bit myself, and small dogs are often way more aggressive than big dogs. I think it's because, like someone said, a big dog can do more harm than a little dog, and thus say when a big dog tries to test you and growls and show it's teeth, you let him know that's not acceptable in whatever way necesary, where as with a small dog, its like " lol what are you ganna do?" and you pretty much just shove it aside and ignore it. At least that's why I think small dogs are more aggressive than big dogs. But no one really cares since they can't really do as much harm as a big dog.

I've been around big dogs all my life, we used to have a german shephard who was the best dog ever to his family. Of course, as any dog should imo, he would attack any stranger that would hurt us. He was great with little kids too as my mom used to run a day care.

A friend of my brother had a pitbull as well who was just as sweet. She brought him over all the time, he was gentle with food, listened really well, was great towards our cats as well. But of course since he was a pit he wasn't allowed at so many places and people judged the dog before they even knew him... it's really sad.

Right now we have a black lab/akbash mix who's about 11 months and already bigger than our german shephard ever was. I'm about average height and I already have to go on my tiptoes when he decides to walk between my legs. He's a big boy and he can make people fall down with just his weight but he'd never harm us. I'm assuming he will try to test the boundaries and try to move up when he reaches a certain age, which I think is acceptable for any dog, and any animal, especially herd animals but if you handle it right when they do test the limits, they'll turn out to be great dogs. You just gotta be consistant about the rules and stay calm but assertive.

Any breed can be a great companion.

I think when we die our soul or consciousness just disappears. Like yearofthehorse, I think what makes a person them is their brain. It controls all our actions, all our thoughts, all our feelings and so when we die, it stops working and we're just gone.

I find it hard to believe in heaven or hell, or even reincarnation just because I find it hard to imagine anything can be forever. I also don't see the joy and pleasure we can get out of something if it lasts forever. Life is precious because it doesn't last forever, because we really can't take anything or anyone for granted because at some point, it will disappear. I also don't think you can experience true happiness if you haven't experiences sadness yet, I believe you need one to appreciate the other and so if heaven were real and it's perfect and forever, even if they keep their memories from when they were living on earth, eventually after the years they'll forget about all their hardships, about all the sadness and I think it will just become dull. Pretty much the same with hell, I believe there's a limit to how much pain you can experience, so I'm sure the first few years or so people that go into hell will suffer, but eventually they'll just become used to the pain and torture and it will mean nothing anymore. I also find it rather cruel to have to spend the rest of eternity in hell just because you sinned a little for a mere 100 years?

As for reincarnation... I can see why people want that, and in a way I do believe it could be nice, but I also believe this world is full of evil, its cruel and cold and it only seems to be getting worse, at the very least on earth and I honestly wouldn't wanna stay on earth forever.... I kind of like being reincarnated into other worlds or dimensions like some people mentioned, that actually never really crossed my mind before.

Anyway, even though I believe the person itself their mind/soul/consciousness will disappear, their body will just become part of nature, circle of life kinda thing. I also get a little comfort in thinking that people will still remember those who died, perhaps not for forever, but for a little while longer. Those who died that were important to me are still alive in my heart and my memories

I never knew it was originally a twilight fanfiction... Not that it matters, never really got into twilight either.

I read the first book and first chapter or so from the second book, but they just bored me. Perhaps it's because people told me I'd probably like it which made my expectations higher... but really... it was boring. Aside from that, the whole start of their relationship and feelings towards each other bugged me. Plus I also really don't like how they made it seem christian is into bdsm because he was scarred as a child. As if everyone in the community is only into it due to some sort of abusive or horrifying past... I think that's what bothers me the most... I also don't really like how he claimed a bdsm relationship should be... but I guess even within the community different people want different things...

I do it for a variety of reasons. The daily prizes and boons are certainly nice and a factor to help keep me going. Same with the plots and the trophies we're able to get from those.

My main reason however why I got into training was because I got a little competitive with a friend who already owned a strong battle pet before the war ever began. Every single game I play with him I'm always working towards getting stronger/better than him, or at the very least keep up. Since He's got a huge head start on neopets, I'll probably keep training my pet until my stat are the same as his, after that I'm guessing I'm probably going to slack if he doesn't start to train again.

Mines about five years. I created one when I was little but I don't remember which email address it's connected to, nor what my password was. Plus the account has already been deleted too... Should of been around 12 years old if i still had it...

I agree with saxen about there being a lot of different typos of love. The love a parent and child have for each other is completely different than the kind of love you'd have with a spouse. Love can have so many meanings and can be used in so many different ways and feelings, which also causes me to believe that most people these days don't know what true love with a spouse or bf/gf actually is.

To me, if I were to say I'd be in love with a guy as boyfriend or husband material, it would mean I'd take his wants and needs before mine. it means I would never do anything that would hurt him just because I'd want to do it. Personally, I don't really trust people enough to get into a romantic relationship with them because everywhere I go, everywhere I look, i see and hear about people cheating on their partner or being cheated on. These people that cheat on their partners, especially when they're already married, they seem to actually think they still love their husband/wife but in my eyes, I don't think they do. How can you say you still love them like when you're doing something that would hurt them if they found out? I understand in some situations due to some events, however rare, someone HAS to do something that would hurt their partner, but in the end it should be because they had best intentions in mind, not out of selfish desires.

As for your parents not loving you... I would want to say every parent loves their child, but I don't actually believe that... However, I do believe most parents love and care for their offspring, but like saxen said, they might just show it in a different way than you would expect. I don't really know much about your relationship with your parents, but from what you said, it doesn't sound that bad yet so I'm sure they care about you.

Sounds like a pretty fun tradition. Just remember that even when it does feel lonely, atleast you still have your mum and other relatives to celebrate the holidays with. It's the season of giving and being thankful for what we have, so be thankful that you get to spend it with your family :) some people don't even have that much..

I have the same issue... just don't feel like I have much to contribute in any conversation. Most of the time whatever I would say has already been said by someone else anyway... so I usually just don't see the point in repeating what's been said already..

Perhaps I should give commenting on news a try as well.

does that mean it takes about 5k items to discard to get the rubbish avatar? The guides I've read for this avatar never mentioned to discard a certain amount of items.

I want the book smart boon so I'll pick either awakened or seekers, depending on what seems more popular. Already got the sway avy so never picking that team again, that lenny is way too arrogant.

 

I used to do it as a daily all the time, but since starting back on neopets I've been using TDN and Symol Hole is in a daily box I never look at so I forgot about it.

So yeah, upon reading this topic I thought I might aswell start going again for the avvie.

Obviously I just joined TDN and its forum though I've been on neopets on and off for 12 years. I got back into it few years back when I found out one of my online mates played it as well, unfortunately at that time I no longer had access to my original account. Then again, as far as I remember, my account wasn't anything special. Pretty sure the account I play now is already more impressive than any of the ones I've had in the past, and it still has a lot of improving to do :D

I'm currently focusing on leveling my one pet, getting my other pet to read lots of books and increase its intelligence, collecting avatars and trying to get trophies too. It gets quite expensive.....

As for me, I'm 22, love animals, took a break from school this last semester but will be going back soon to start my zoology degree :D Until then, I've got nothing to do but play neopets...

I haven't even really checked how much the stuff I get is worth since I assumed it would all be junk. I just like having new items. Unless I already have the item, I don't sell it, especially now that I'm trying to get the junk avatar, I'm just discarding everything that I would otherwise sell.

Volcano Run, ugh. Although in the week or so I've been working on it, I've managed to go from having trouble getting 200-300 points to being able to get 700-800 without a problem. Now it's just working my way around those triple fireballs in tight spaces with ease.

You know the triple fireballs only come when u've collected 450+ points of gems, so if you focus on distance with your first few lifes, and then the gems with your last life, you might do better.

As for me... I been trying to get my drackonack to eat cheese for weeeeeks, been refreshing non stop whenever i watch tv not even looking at my screen anymore and this thing still hasnt eaten it. I'm pretty sure I've been spending 3 hours a day for the past few weeks refreshing my inventory every two seconds or so on average. You'd think after so long it would get hungry and WANT to eat something desperately....

Also been trying to get the wheel ones, and pretty much most of the random ones I guess.

I finally got the coconut shy one few days ago :D so that was good... though i think it glitched and didn't really SHOW/tell me that I got the avatar which was a little dissapointing but oh well.

I'd save up for a super attack pea... and then run around showing it off to everyone making them all jealous :D muahahaahahaha

I always thought people looked at it in an entertaining form like emily said, though Wickedwolf's post makes a lot of sense too.

Personally... I think zombies are pretty boring. I much prefer werewolves and vampires... and even then it depends on the movie/book/event.

Seems like I got a little out of anime these past few years, but I pretty much grew up watching pokemon before I really knew what anime was, then I started watching DBZ, then I watched dragonball and dragonball GT. Then ever since I actually got into anime/manga naruto and one piece have been my two main ones. I've seen Code Geass, which i pretty much consider to be one of the most genius anime's ever, it's pretty awesome. I'm currently watching sora kake girl, where one of the characters is the same voice actor as Lelouch from code geass. Seen vampire knight, rosario + vampire, DN angel, ... I know I've seen a lot more than that, but can't seem to recall them, it has been a few years after all.

Watched about 50 episodes of bleach too but it just bored me...

As for my mangas, obviously I'd read naruto and one piece as well. 1/2 prince, fairy tail, green boy, and again I've read way more than that, just can't seem to recall them...

OH, and attack on titan... sorta, i seem to be taking a break from that but it's pretty good.

SAO was alright, second season sucked though imo.

I think One piece is my favorite at the moment, especially right now at where the manga is at, it's getting pretty intense :D

And I'll always love Code Geass too <3 Lelouch is pretty awesome

Single, I just don't seem to like any guys I meet in real life. The few guys I did have an interest in were always just guys I met online through games. I suppose a relationship would be nice, but I feel like I'm just getting pickier as I get older as well.
