I refresh multiple times until I get an idea of what the lowest price is, and then I beat that. Depending on how expensive the item is I might be 10np cheaper or I might be 100 cheaper, or even 1000 cheaper.... whatever it takes to get my name up at the top of the list without going too crazy. Most of the stuff I sell, I've gotten for free through some daily or battledome fight or whatever, I don't buy and resell many things. I figure I can afford to go low on the price because I'm making a profit no matter what. Then, if the item doesn't sell in a few days, I check again. If I find that the price has gone down, I adjust accordingly. If not, I assume it's just unpopular and let it sit.

I essentially use exactly this process. Now that I finally have a big kid job I decided to give Premium a try, so now I have SSW to make it quicker/easier for me; but before that I just did several searches per item on regular SW -- each time I would put the lowest price from the previous search in as the new "max price" and do that until I got no results two or three times in a row, making it pretty likely that the price I had was the "real" price. Then I set my price just below that, adjusted for overall value and how "desirable" the item is (if it's a quest item or something valuable like a map piece, I drop a very small amount; whereas if it's just some random junk they're probably only buying for the rubbish/SDB avs, I drop a fair amount so it sells quickly and doesn't just rot in my shop.) If the item is cheap, I'll generally drop 5 or 11 NP; if it's between 1-10K I'll drop 200-600ish, and if it's more than 20k I usually drop 1k or a little more. I also try to avoid "round" numbers (that is, I'll price something at 989 or 995 instead of 1000 -- that's a trick of real stores btw; most places sell stuff for $99.99 instead of $100, because that "feels" much cheaper so people are more likely to buy even though it's only a penny difference.)

The thing is, pretty much everyone knows how to use the SW (except for people who literally just started playing, and I for one have no interest in taking advantage of newbies anyway), so just slapping the "average" price on stuff is usually a waste of your time. If you're a really amazing restocker and have a mall-size shop that caters to players who value getting a quest item NOW over getting it cheap, that's different. But if you're like me and most other players, your shop is a fairly small one where you sell random stuff from your dailies, REs, and maybe the occasional restock if you have time; and if that's what you have no one is going to bother buying your junk unless your prices are close to the lowest available, just sayin'. :P Though that being said, I don't really get the people that WAY undersell either (like, ok, fine, you'd rather make the NP *now* rather than be a little patient and get a little more later, whatever floats your boat; but yeah, selling a PB for half of the SW price seems a little silly to me. And I'll definitely agree, it is super annoying to grab something good at the Garage Sale only to find that it *was* selling for 20k, but someone undercut and now I can only get like 5k for it -_____-)

Weird. I run Neo exclusively on FF (often with multiple tabs open to Neo at once) and have never had an issue. I have AdBlock and NoScript installed though (I allow neopets.com itself on NS because I think it's technically against the rules not to, but I don't allow any of the other random stuff) -- I don't know if you do the same; but if not, maybe it's one of Neo's ads that's crashing you and not Neo itself? Admittedly, I've never played Habitarium and haven't bothered with KQ since I came back to Neo, so I couldn't say if either of those affect anything.

I had that happen to me with the Wheel of Knowledge a couple weeks ago; I just got an error message, but when I checked my av count I had the avatar. :) Must be some odd glitch with the avatar spots on the wheels -- at least it's just the animations that are broken and the actual receipt of the avatar works fine, imagine how mad we'd all be if it was the other way around! :P

Also, for what it's worth I don't think any of us received our avatars as a result of a glitch -- I spin the WoE every day and it's been normal for me. I think it's just that the animations are glitched; but receiving the avatar seems to be just normal chance like it always is, so don't worry about "abusing a glitch" or anything ;)

Try the "Looking to Advertise an Item?" board under General Chat here. :) Or look on the Trading Post or Auctions on Neo. The cheapest Draik Egg is the Pirate Draik Egg; it was 1.6 million when I bought mine a few months ago, I think. For a Krawk, try looking for a Magical Pirate Krawk Plushie, those are only around 3-500,000 NP.

I don't have a spare Dark Magic Dress, but if you can't find one, I do have an extra Gothic Rose Dress I'd be happy to trade you if that would help :)

I find I mostly get nothing from the Coincidence. My rule of thumb is to complete the "quest" only if each item is worth less than 1,000 NP.

I do pretty much the same -- usually I'll only bother to do the quest if I either have everything on hand on my own or if the items are selling for pretty cheap, though occasionally I'll do a quest where I have almost everything and only have to buy one more-expensive item (though 5k has become my hard limit, this is supposed to be junk! :P) Since it became a daily, I've gained stats a couple times, lost stats once, and otherwise I've gotten nothing every single time aside from getting a small amount of NP (though still a net profit at least, yay!) yesterday. Mostly I keep trying in the hope of either getting a P3 or a TCG (I collect Space Faerie stuff, so if there's even a miniscule chance that I can get one of the SF TCGs for my gallery or get one that would be of equal value for a trade, it's worth a try.)

Also, sorry you've had such terrible luck with regular REs, OP! :sad01_anim: I've actually been *extremely* lucky with them since the overhaul (so far I've gotten 10K from Illusen, Boochi as a BD challenger, a book that turned out to be UB, and an Eventide Tonu MP, plus a bunch of bank error ones and pointless ones) so don't give up, good REs are still out there!

Agreed with everything. And ooooooooh my goodness do I HATE HATE HATE the redone YYB!! (Well, I don't know how "new" it actually is, I'm coming off a 2-year hiatus so maybe it's been this way for a while?) But seriously, wat. The ball doesn't go ANYWHERE when I shoot it! No matter what kind of ball it is! And does the fire ball automatically shoot itself now or something? O.o And I feel like I have more trouble getting my players to move/switch than I used to...I used to be able to get 9-0 easy; so far the best I've been able to do is a tie :( And yeah, all the other games had gotten super old when I left...still old now that I'm back. :P They need to either shorten the event or make it every other year like someone else said -- it was fun when it was new, now it's just a boring, frustrating slog.

Edit: ARRRRRRGH!! I *finally* won a game, and when I went to send the score it said "can't send score in offline mode"! ARE YOU KIDDING ME :grrr:

I just got it (like, literally 10 seconds ago lol) and my pet's fishing skill is 93 -- I'm guessing the minimum level needed (which as I recall is around 80) hasn't changed, it's just that there's a lot more possible prizes now so getting the Titanic Squid is a rarer outcome. Apologies if there's a topic about this already, I looked and didn't see one -- just curious if anyone has gotten a random event (a real/normal one, I mean, not the "random events" you get from completing the Coincidence daily or the "fostering pets" joke) now that the Coincidence event has ended. I haven't had one yet and was just sorta curious to know if TNT has actually reactivated them yet; I play a lot of Solitaire and stuff so I normally get them relatively frequently, but since they're random it's hard to tell, y'know? :P

Just raised my active's intelligence by 8 (and oddly, still didn't actually remove the stuff from my inventory, I just put it back in my SDB.) Not really worth the inflated price I had to pay for the junk lol, but now that it seems to be a new daily (rather than more event steps) I imagine the prices will deflate/stabilize soon. :P Interesting daily, though I'm glad to know now that it can lower pets' stats as well as raise them -- guess I'll keep using my lab pet for this one instead of switching to the pet I'm hand training.

Glitching for me too, I turned in the stuff and got the "thanks" page, but the items haven't disappeared from my inventory and the green button just loads the same page.

Aw, and it seems we can't use them to get avatars. Well, I like amybef and Honey_Nuty anyway! ^_^ This was a cute idea.

Actually, one of my fosters is a Skeith; I didn't have the Feed Me avatar yet, so I fed it a Skeith Inspired Treasure Maps and it worked. So you can at least get an avatar that requires feeding a pet something :D And I agree, this was a cute idea. :)

Anyone have 2x Yellow Snowflake to spare? The ones I'm finding are priced around 10k. :/

Ugh...I've been pretty lucky so far, but this morning I need 3x Thermal Explosive Device :( Holy inflation Batman. Anyone have some? I don't need to be gifted, I'm happy to offer some NP if you put them up on the trading post, I just think a 20k-apiece price tag is a little excessive lol :whaa:

So, I find this game fairly easy and thought I'd try for a trophy. Thing is, I can't figure out how to get my score any higher -- I complete every level and make sure to kill all of the Cybunnies too, as well as every Jubjub I see. Since the number of regular enemies is set per level, the only way to get a high score appears to be to kill a bunch of Jubjubs, but I don't see any way to get enough. I've tried clearing a level except for a single Scorchio and then cycling through it for a few minutes, but I've never gotten more Jubs to appear when I do that. So does anyone know: is getting a high score in this game due to luck or patience (i.e. do you just have to get super lucky and have a TON of them happen to appear in a game, or will more eventually appear in a level if you're *really* patient and just keep circling forever)?

Nothing wrong with it at all. Right now I'm labbing my pet long-term for the stats, and to a lesser extent hoping to hit some avatar species/colors in the process, so even if I get a really cool color I'm still going to keep zapping (I've already had Maractite and Darigan) -- some people think it's dumb to rezap an expensive/rare color, but that isn't my goal right now so I couldn't care less. All that matters is that you're happy with it. :)

I second the question about how/where we participate in this; I think this must have become a thing after I left. :P Love the idea though...think I'll ask for a Stealthy Draik, never hurts to try XD

So I'm returning to Neo after quite a long hiatus and am just starting to try out the fancy-shmancy new Battledome setup, and I figured I'd begin with the Defenders of Neopia challengers. I started the first mission, went to the BD and (accompanied by many "change is hard!! :eh: " faces as I clicked all the shiny new clicks) beat the Pant Devil...problem is, my win doesn't appear to be recognized. I didn't get the DoN trophy or the next mission; just the same comic no matter what I do. Did TNT permanently (or temporarily) retire DoN, or am I just doing something wrong?

Hi all :) I'm finally returning to Neopets (and TDN!) after a 2-year hiatus (during which I forgot my passwords to both...sigh. :sad02:) Anyway, I decided to just start over and bought myself some NC to celebrate with a few pretty trinkets. The Wonderclaw game sounded like fun so I bought a 5-pack of widgets, only to end up with a blank screen when I went to play. Has anyone else tried it and had trouble recently? Just wondering if I should submit an error report or if it's a known problem already.
